Another month has come and gone, only 5 to go. Only 100 days until the election, which can't come soon enough.
* Read email and blogs on my tablet while watching TV news, then off to church at 9:30 a.m. Home by 11:20 a.m.
* Edited the Best of the Genea-Blogs - 24 July to 30 July 2016 one last time, then worked on the Ancestry and FamilySearch posts.
* Went in at 1:15 p.m. to eat lunch, watch the Padres game, and read the paper, and take nap in the recliner. Padres lost 3-2 to Reds, so now 45-60, I think.
* Took Linda to Barb's to swim, then transcribed the Natvig will for Monday. Retrieved Linda at 5:40, and we ate dinner and watched TV news.
* Online at 7 p.m. to note that Added or Updated Databases at Ancestry.com - Week of 24 July to 30 July 2016 posted, then wrote the Amanuensis post. Resolved 84 Ancestry Hints also.
* Checked Facebook, answered email, started the Best Of post, and wrote this post. Genealogy today was 5 hours.

My Genealogy Saturday - 30 July 2016
This would have been my mother's 97th birthday. I miss her. I posted a baby picture on Facebook of her as a baby with her mother, who was only 20 years old.
* Dropped Linda at the Y, then read email and blogs, and noted that Surname Saturday -- SMITH (England to colonial New England) posted. Went back to pick up Linda at 9 a.m.
* Home by 9:15 to write the SNGF post, then answered Ancestry messages and email. Cleaned out about four inches of papers, mainly CVGS stuff, and put it in the trash. Got the magazines into the right piles on the bookshelves.
* Had lunch, noted that Saturday Night Genealogy Fun -- Female Ancestors Age at Death posted, and decided to watch the webinar. Dozed off, so turned it off and took a 90 minute nap.
* Online at 3 p.m. to read, then resolved some Ancestry Hints. Added to the Best Of post and checked Facebook.
* We left at 4 p.m. for dinner at El Pollo Loco, then trolleyed to Petco Park for the Padres game. Pads won 2-1 in 10 innings. We were home just after 9 p.m.
* Read, updated the Best Of post, and wrote this post. Genealogy today was 6.0 hours.

My Genealogy Friday - 29 July 2016
I even went out for a bit today, but did genealogy until the evening when the Padres were on TV.
* Took Linda to the Y, came back and read email and blogs, and noted that 52 Ancestors - Week 135: #180 Simon Wade (1731-after 1800) posted. Picked Linda up and we went to Ralphs for groceries.
* Home by 9:40 a.m. to read, wrote 2.5 Million Crime Records Released This Findmypast Friday, 29 July 2016 and answered email.
* Left at 10:45 a.m. to get a haircut, go to the bank and go to the library. Home at 12:20 p.m. to have lunch.
* Worked on the Natvig probate and descendants - figured it out based on a helpful message board post. Added a bunch of content and sources for the descendants. Checked Facebook.
* Wrote Board for Certification of Genealogists and Legacy Family Tree Webinars Form Webinar Partnership then worked on the CVGS class homework.
* Went in at 5:20 p.m. to watch TV, and eat dinner. Online at 6:20 p.m. to write the Surname Saturday post, add to the Best Of post, and join in on GenChat on Twitter.
* Went in at 8 p.m. to watch the Padres game, read the paper, and read my book. Padres lost to the Reds 6-0 - a terrible game. So we're now 44-59. Drat.

My Genealogy Thursday - 28 July 2016
This was a pretty full genealogy day. We got our new stove today - delivered while I was at the library.
* Drove Linda to the Y, came home and had breakfast and read email and blogs, then picked her up at 9 a.m.
* Online at 9:15 a.m. to read, noted that Treasure Chest Thursday - Post 324: Birth Record of Simon Wade (1731-after 1800) posted. Reviewed the Genealogy 102 handout and presentation and the computer wouldn't let me remove the USB drive. Finally rebooted and that fixed that. Wrote Short Course Videos Added to Ancestry Academy. Took my nap at 11 a.m., and had lunch.
* Packed up and left at 12:30 p.m. for Bonita library, was set up by 1 p.m. for the CVGS Genealogy 102 class but we didn't start until 1:20 p.m. I ran over about 15 minutes as a result. Home by 3:30 p.m.
* Read email and blogs, added to the Best Of post, and worked a bit in the Elling Natvig estate and tried to find the four children he mentioned in his will that I didn't have. Not much luck - no trace in records of three of them, and something for one of them. Another job for land records and maybe county histories, I think.
* Went in for dinner at 5:30 p.m., watched TV, washed dishes, and online at 7 p.m. No Padres game tonight.
* Worked some more on the Natvig folks, then worked on the 52 Ancestors sketch and wrote the 52 Ancestors post.
* I'm really tired tonight. Checked Facebook, wrote this post. Genealogy today was 9.0 hours.

My Genealogy Wednesday - 27 July 2016
This was a better genealogy day than yesterday, and my Padres won!
* Took Linda to the Y by 7:20 a.m., and home to read email and blogs, then noted that NGS 2010 Conference Photos #1 -- Post 423 for (Not So) Wordless Wednesday posted. Worked a bit on the Gen 102 class presentation.
* Went to get Linda, then to the eye doctor for her exam, and to the optometrist to get glasses. Two weeks. I couldn't live with that, but I guess she can.
* We made it to the CVGS picnic by 11 a.m. and had a good time eating, talking, and listening to "Digging the Dirt" stories. It was warm but shady under the trees. The food was great. My Padres beat Blue Jays 8-4, so now 44-58. e were 3-7 on the road trip but lost 2 in walkoff where the bullpen failed. Drat. Traded Upton to Blue Jays.
* Home by 2:30 p.m. and I read a bit then took a nap.
* Online at 4 p.m. to note that Seavers in the Newspapers - William A. Seaver's Will in 1883 posted. Worked on the presentation some more.
* Went in at 5:40 p.m. to eat dinner, watch TV, read the paper, and put the trash out and water the front plants.
* Online at 7 p.m. to add to the Best Of post, and finish up the presentation. Saved it all to flash drive, Google Drive and Dropbox for class on Thursday.
* Wrote the Treasure Chest post, then checked Ancestry, checked Facebook, and answered email. Wrote this post. Genealogy today was 8.0 hours.

My Semi-Genealogy Tuesday - 26 July 2016
This was not a fun day - Linda lost her glasses, and my Padres blew the game.
* After taking Linda to the Y, I read email and blogs, and when I went to get her at 9 a.m. we got home and she couldn't find her glasses. We looked all over - in the house, in the garage, in the car, with no luck. What to do?
* I wrote Treasure Chest Tuesday - James A. Smith 1902 Michigan Death Certificate and RootsWeb Mailing Lists are Not Accessible. Why? and set it for later.
* We left at 11 a.m. and went back to the Y. They had a pair of glasses very similar to hers in the lost and found, and she took them, but when we stopped at Costco for lunch and to shop, we realized that they were not the right pair. She'll take them back on Wednesday.
* We were home at 12:15 p.m., and I added to the Best Of post, and worked on the Genealogy 102 Class. After my nap, we called to make an eye exam appointment at Sharp and got one for 9:20 on Wednesday. Hopefully, she can have new glasses in 2-3 days.
* Online at 2 p.m. to work some more on the Genealogy 102 presentation and have it about 70% done. Need to finish it on Wednesday somehow.
* Went in at 4:30 p.m. to watch the Padres game, read the paper, and eat dinner. Padres lost 7-6 to Blue Jays in 12 innings - we led 6-4 going into the bottom of the 12th and blew it. So now 43-58.
* Online at 8 p.m. to answer email, read blogs, check Facebook, and write two posts for Wednesday. Genealogy today was 7.5 hours.

My Genealogy Monday - 25 July 2016
This day was genealogy filled, but not all-the-time-genealogy by no means. The stove finally shortedo ut the last burner so we need a new one ASAP.
* Took Linda to the Y, but the pool was closed due to thunder in the distance, so we came home, wasting 20 minutes. Had breakfast, then online at 7:50 a.m. to read email and blogs, and note that Amanuensis Monday - 1689 Will of Griffin Crafts (1600-1689) of Roxbury, Mass. posted.
* Reviewed the OASIS Class 3 presentation, and left at 9:30 a.m. for Macy's in Mission Valley. Got into the room at 10 and started at 10:20 a.m. with 11 students. I left at 12:30 p.m. for home.
* Home by 12:50 p.m., had lunch, then took my nap. Online at 2 p.m. to read, note that Added or Updated Record Collections at FamilySearch.org - Week of 17 July to 23 July 2016 posted and wrote Chula Vista Genealogical Society Picnic is Wednesday, 27 July in Bonita, California.
* Worked on my Research Checklist for the CVGS Class on Thursday. Nothing like doing things on the fly...not my fault!
* We left at 3:45 p.m. for Sears to buy a new stove, got a cooktop this time rather than grilltop. Then to Sprouts to shop, Lolita's for dinner, and Ralphs to shop. Home by 5:40 p.m. to watch the Padres game and read the paper. They lost to Blue Jays 4-2, so now 43-57.
* Online at 7 p.m. to read, add to the Best Of post, and work on the Genealogy 102 handout and started working on the presentation. I'm maybe 20% done with the presentation but 90% done with the handout.

My Genealogy Sunday - 24 July 2016
Really not much of a genealogy day but a typical Summer Sunday with church and Padres and free evening.
* Read email and blogs while watching Meet the Depressed, then off to church at 9:30 a.m. Home by 11:20 a.m. and Linda went to lunch with Barbara. I was watching the Padres game when the phone rang, and 8th cousin Sharon from Chicago was in Massachusetts wanting to know where Seaver places were. We talked for over 30 minutes.
* Watched the rest of the Padres game, read the paper, and Padres beat the Nationals 10-6 with 4 runs in the 9th, so now 43-56 on the season.
Came online at 1:30 p.m. to note that Best of the Genea-Blogs - 17 July to 23 July 2016 posted. Wrote the Ancestry and FamilySearch posts. Went in at 3 p.m. to watch TV and try to doze a bit. Success I think.
* Online at 4:30 p.m. to read, then noted that Added or Updated Databases at Ancestry.com - Week of 17 July to 23 July 2016 posted and wrote the Amanuensis Monday post.
* Went in at 6 p.m. to watch TV news and eat dinner. Online at 7 p.m. to read, answer email, and work in Ancestry resolving Hints.

My Genealogy Saturday - 23 July 2016
This was a pretty typical fourth Saturday in the summer - some genealogy, some baseball, some driving.
* Read email and blogs in between taking and getting Linda from the Y. Noted that Surname Saturday - BALLOU (England to colonial New England) posted.
* Left at 9:30 a.m. for the FamilySearch Center, and did my SDGS RootsMagic User Group class. We had only 5 but had a relaxed time. Home by 1 p.m.
* Read, noted that Saturday Night Genealogy Fun - How Many Place Names in Your Family Tree Database? posted. Watched TV news and dozed in the recliner.
* Online at 2 p.m. to work on the CVGS Genealogy 102 class handout. Checked Facebook.
* Went in at 4:20 p.m. to watch the Padres game, read the paper and eat dinner. Padres lost 3-2 to Nationals in the 9th. Now 42-55 on the season. Would have to go 39-26 to be a .500 team.

My Genealogy Friday - 22 July 2016
Well, it was a semi-genealogy Friday - the usual plus life and Padres.
* Took Linda to the Y, came home and ate breakfast, then read email and blogs and noted that 52 Ancestors - Week 134: #179 Martha (Soule) Kirby (1743-1828) posted. Went to get her at the Y, at 9:30, then to Costco and Ralphs to shop. Home by 11 a.m.
* Wrote New records available to search this Findmypast Friday - 22 July 2016, then added to the Best Of post and answered email. Took my nap.
* Onlnie at 2 p.m. to read, then wrote More About Rev. W.R. Seaver in the News. Checked Ancestry and FamilySearch for new databases. Wrote the Surname Saturday post. Took Linda to Barbs to swim and retrieved her at 5 p.m.
* Went in at 4:15 p.m. to watch the Padres game, water the front plants, read the paper, and eat dinner. Padres won 5-3 over Nationals, so now 42-54 on the season.
* Online at 7:15 p.m. to read, then worked on the SNGF post. Had to create a new GEDCOM and read it into Legacy Family Tree, but it didn't work the first time for some reason. While waiting for this to happen, I resolved 160 Ancestry Hints, adding content and sources to my RootsMagic file.
* Checked Facebook, added to the Best Of post, and wrote this post. Genealogy today was 7.5 hours.

My Genealogy Thursday - 21 July 2016
As you have probably noticed, I am gradually cutting back on the number of blog posts written each week. There are two reasons for this - my time has been reduced by the need to drive Linda places, and my need for more sleep, not to mention the Padres games (and political conventions). Other events have interfered recently, like grandchildren visiting and genealogy society commitments.
* Drove Linda to the Y, home to eat breakfast and read blogs and email, and noted that Treasure Chest Thursday - Post 323: 1743 Martha Soule Birth Record posted. Left at 8:50 a.m. to pick up Linda and home by 9:15 a.m. Then Susi called about the class.
* Online at 9:40 a.m. to read more, then wrote Ancestry.com LLC Reports Second Quarter 2016 Financial Results. Really tired, so napped until 11:45. Had lunch, gathered the laptop and handout, and off to Bonita Library.
* Got to Bonita Library at 12:45 p.m., and got set up with Gary's help. We had 13 in the two hour Genealogy 101 class. Over at 3 p.m., and home by 3:30 p.m.
* Read email and blogs, checked Facebook, and went in to watch the Padres game and eat dinner. Pads had a 5-1 lead in the 8th, but lost 6-5 in the 9th. So now 41-55. Drat. Then watched Trump's acceptance speech.
* Online at 8:45 p.m. to read, and put together the 52 Ancestors post for Friday. Wrote this post. Genealogy today was 5.5 hours.

My Genealogy Wednesday - 20 July 2016
This was almost an all-genealogy day except for the second Padres game.
* After dropping Linda at the Y, came home, had breakfast, and read email and blogs. Picked her up at 9 a.m. and we went shopping, home at 9:50 a.m. This is going to be the new normal, I think!
* Added to the Best Of blog, answered email, noted that The Fiji Cultural Center Visit in 2010 -- Post 422 for (Not So) Wordless Wednesday posted, and then went off at 11 a.m. for lunch at McDonalds and then to the library to get books and check in with John's group. Home by 12:30 p.m.
* Read email and blogs, then took my nap. Up at 2 p.m. to read, then researched and wrote Seavers in the Newspapers - Who is W.R. Seaver? Checked Facebook.
* Went in at 5 p.m. to watch the Padres game, eat dinner and put out the trash. Padres lost two games today, 4-2 and 3-2 to the Cards, so now 41-54 on the season.
* Online at 8:15 p.m. to read, write a Thursday post, then worked in Ancestry Hints, resolving 63 of them, and added events and sources.
* Checked Facebook, and wrote this post. Genealogy today was 7.0 hours.

My Genealogy Tuesday - 19 July 2016
My new normal is to take Linda to the Y at 7:15 a.m. and pick her up around 9 a.m.
* Home by 7:30 a.m. to read blogs and email, added to the Best Of post. Noted that Treasure Chest Tuesday - 1870 U.S. Census Mortality Schedule Record for Eliza H. Smith posted.
* Left at 8:50 a.m. to pick Linda up, then off at 9:20 a.m. for my earwax doctor appointment, home by 10:20 a.m.
* Worked a bit on the CVGS classes, answered email, and researched for the loose William Abel without much luck in records. Checked the Putman AncestryDNA matches - found none that were close and none with shared ancestors.
* Had lunch, checked Facebook, took my nap.
* Online at 1:15 p.m. to read, backed up the blog, looked for Hints to blog about and found none useful. Checked the Peter Putman Member Connects to see if someone knew more than I did. Worked through some Ancestry Hints adding content and sources.
* Answered more email, wrote ICYMI - Comments on "Are Ancestry Leaf Hints Useful?" and then wrote six blog posts on Chula Vista Genealogy Cafe blog. Checked Facebook.
* Went in at 5:30 p.m. to watch TV, eat dinner, and water front plants. Padres were rained out.
* Online at 7 p.m. to read, then revised the SDGS RMUG mailing group and sent the notice for Saturday.

My Genealogy Monday - 18 July 2016
This was a very typical OASIS class Monday - except there was no Mondays With Myrt. A pity.
* Read email and blogs, then noted that Amanuensis Monday - Post 329: Will of Joseph Tripp (1644-1718) of Dartmouth, Mass. posted. Reviewed the OASIS class material, made sure I had the flash drive, grabbed the laptop and left at 9:35 a.m.
* Got to Mission Valley just in time to go in at 10 a.m., and got set up for my class. We had 11 students today for the second class in the series of four two-hour classes. Was done by 12:30 p.m. Headed home, got gas, had lunch, and then a nap.
* Online at 2:30 p.m. to read, noted that Added or Updated Record Collections at FamilySearch.org - Week of 10 July to 16 July 2016 posted.
* Added to the Best Of blog, answered email, checked Facebook, and researched and wrote Dear Randy: How Can I Import FamilySearch Family Tree Persons Into RootsMagic?
* Went in at 5:30 p.m. to watch TV, the Padres game, and eat dinner. Padres lost to Cards 10-2. Drat, now 41-52 on the season.
* Online at 8:15 p.m. to read, then wrote a post for Tuesday. Added data from a few Ancestry Hints to the database. Sources now at 74,918.

My Genealogy Sunday - 17 July 2016
The three grandkids were here from Tuesday through Friday noon, and I barely kept up with the news, let along blogging about genealogy. I did get some minutes to read and post press releases. I forgot to journal on Friday, and worked on the CVGS class presentation on Saturday but we went to the Padres game on Saturday night and were home by 10:30 p.m. - we won 7-6 in the 10th, so now 40-51 on the season and we are 6-6 at games we've attended.
Sunday tasks:
* Read email and blogs on the tablet watching TV news, then off to church at 9:30 a.m. and home after shopping by 11:45. Answered email ,started the new Best Of post, and noted that Best of the Genea-Blogs - 10 July to 16 July 2016 posted.
* Wrote the Ancestry and FamilySearch posts before going in to watch the Padres game at 1:30 p.m. Ate lunch, read the paper, took a nap, and watered front plants. Padres won 5-3 over Giants, so now 41-51 on the season, and 3-9 against Giants.
* Had dinner, and online at 6:15 p.m. to note that Added or Updated Databases at Ancestry.com - Week of 10 July to 16 July 2016 posted.
* Transcribed a will and wrote the Amanuensis Monday post. Got the flash drive ready for Monday and the OASIS class.
* Worked in Ancestry to resolve 182 record Hints. Checked Facebook. Wrote this post. Genealogy today was 5.0 hours.

My Genealogy Monday - 11 July 2016
This was a busy genealogy day, plus the All-Star festivities.
* Read email and blogs, then noted that Amanuensis Monday - Post 328: Will of Benjamin Wing (1698-1782) of Dartmouth, Mass.posted.
* Joined Mondays with Myrt for 30 minutes and didn't talk much. Left at 9:35 a.m. for Mission Valley to teach my OASIS class. That went well with 12 students eager to learn.
* Home by 1:30 p.m. to grab lunch, then took a short nap, and online to note that Added or Updated Record Collections at FamilySearch.org - Week of 3 July to 9 July 2016 posted.
* Edited the CVGS newsletter, printed off the master and the labels and went to the UPS store to copy and send the newsletter. Home by 2:50 p.m.
* Online to write two blog posts for the week, then worked on the CVGS curriculum and answered email. Checked Facebook.
* Went in at 5 p.m. to watch the Home Run Derby from Petco, and ate dinner.
* Online at 7:30 p.m. to answer email, add to the Best Of post, and work on the CVGS stuff. Wrote three more blog posts for the week.
* Wrote this post. Genealogy today was 9.0 hours.
We have the three grandchildren Tuesday through Friday, so blogging will be light on Genea-Musings and non=-existent on Geneaholic. Hope to make more family history memories!

My Genealogy Sunday - 10 July 2016
Trying to get caught up here because the grandkids are coming Tuesday. I think I failed to catch up today. Got more new tasks too.
* Read email and blogs on the tablet watching TV, then off to church at 9:30 a.m. and home by 11:20 a.m.
* Read, finished up the Best of the Genea-Blogs - 3 to 9 July 2016 post, and wrote the Ancestry and FamilySearch posts. Started on transcribing the will for amanuensis.
* Went in at 1:15 p.m. to watch the Padres game, eat lunch, read the paper and took a doze in the recliner. Padres lost to Dodgers 3-1 so end the first half at 38-51 firmly ensconced in 4th place. No hope except to trade Norris, Upton, Ramirez and Kemp for prospects and call up some of the Triple A guys.
* Online at 4 p.m. to finish up the transcription, then wrote the Amanuensis Monday post. Whew - six pages of transcription, but an interesting will. Noted that Added or Updated Databases at Ancestry.com - Week of 3 July to 9 July 2016.
* Went in for dinner at 5:40 p.m. and watched TV news. Online at 6:30 p.m. to finish up the CVGS Newsletter and send it for review.
* worked on outline for the CVGS education classes and sent them off. This is a short timeline and I have nothing prepared yet. And the kids are coming.

My Genealogy Saturday - 9 July 2016
This was the SDGS program Saturday, so it's different from most Saturdays here in the cave.
* Read email and blogs, noted that Surname Saturday - FISH (England to colonial New England) posted, and gathered my laptop, flash drive and headed off to the SDGS meeting at 9 a.m.
* Got set up by 9:40, kibitzed a bit, and the program started at 10 a.m. I did my Social Media talk, then we had the ice cream social, and I did my Digital Microfilm talk. There were about 100 folks there - I hope they got something out of it.
* Home by 1:30 p.m. after stopping at Office Depot for labels, had an apple, took a nap. Online at 3 p.m. to note that Saturday Night Genealogy Fun - Ancestor With Most Census Entries posted.
* Answered email, added to the Best Of post, and worked on the David Kirby profile some more.
* Went in at 4:15 p.m. to watch the Padres game, read the paper, and eat dinner. Padres lost to Dodgers 4-3, so now 38-50 on the season.
* Online at 7 p.m. to read, check Facebook, worked on the CVGS Newsletter (90% done), work on David Kirby some more, resolved 156 Ancestry Hints, and added some sources and notes to profiles in FamilySearch Family Tree.

My Genealogy Friday - 8 July 2016
I'm all set for Saturday at SDGS I think. This was almost an all genealogy day, except for the Padres game tonight.
* Read email and blogs, got the laundry started for the house cleaner, got my shower, and then wrote 52 Ancestors - Week 132: #177 Abigail (Wing) White (1734-1806) a little late.
* Answered email, worked in Geni a bit looking for DNA results, then worked for awhile in Ancestry Hints at the back end. Ignored 422 of them. Most of them for ancestral family members in the tree.
* Checked Facebook, and wrote U.S. Naturalization and Passport Records Added by Findmypast, 8 July 2016. Took my nap.
* Online at 2 p.m. to find the Benjamin Wing probate record, then worked on the David Kirby profile adding content to the profile. Went looking for land records for him and his father and found some.
* Researched and wrote Ancestry Updates LifeStory Capabilities...But It Needs to be Improved. Went in for dinner and watched TV. Online at 6.20 p.m. to write the two Saturday posts.
* Went in at 7:20 to watch the Padres game, read the paper, and read my book. Padres lost 10-6 to the Dodgers. Now 38-49 on the season.

My Semi-Genealogy Thursday - 7 July 2016
This was not much of a genealogy research day at all, with too many interferences and necessary tasks.
* Read email and blogs, wrote Treasure Chest Thursday - Post 321: 1800 U.S. Census Record for Jonathan White in Westport, Mass.
* We left at 9:50 a.m. for the health center and Linda's eye exam appointment. Everything's fine with her eyes a year after the laser treatment. Then we went to Costco, had lunch, and shopped for over an hour. Home by 1:30 p.m.
* Read, then took a nap. Online at 2:30 p.m. and read email and blogs, added to the Best Of post, and wrote Shaky Leaves and All - Are They Useful?
* Worked on the plan for the class and sent it to Susi and crew. Went in at 5:30 p.m. for dinner, and was back online by 6:30 p.m. to begin the CVGS newsletter. Got the easy stuff in - maybe 30% done.
* Went in at 7:15 p.m. to watch the Padres game, read the paper, and started the latest Patterson book. Got the laptop up and running (had to endure the Chkdsk thing) and got the SDGS and OASIS files transferred to the laptop. Then it updated Windows 7. Padres won 6-0 over Dodgers so now 38-48 on the season.

* Home by 2:30 p.m. to read, got sleepy, took a nap.
* Online at 3:15 p.m. to read, add to the Best Of post, couldn't find something to write about, and checked Facebook.
* Went in at 5:45 p.m. to watch TV, read the paper, water the front yard, put out the trash, we ate dinner, and watched the Padres game. I read my Crais book. Padres won 13-6 over the Dbacks, so now are 37-48, tied for last place.

My Genealogy Monday - 4 July 2016
This was a blog-free genealogy day in the genea-cave, until the evening Padres game and fireworks seeing jaunt.
* Read email and blogs, noted that Twelve Score Years Ago - Happy Birthday, U.S.A. and Amanuensis Monday - Post 327: Will of Amy (Champlin) Oatley (1798-1865) of Killingly, Conn. posted.
* did the DNA thing at Geni.com - it was easy, just log into FamilyTreeDNA. I did mtDNA and autosomal but haven't figured out the Ysearch yet.
* Saw that I had some merge suggestions and requests, so I worked on those for awhile in Geni. Very slow and cumbersome, but got about ten merges done. Even edited some of the place names. Of course, there's about 10,000 more to do.
* Decided to capture as many of the Suffolk County Mass. probate records I could on Ancestry. Worked through my list - some were indexed, some not. Captured about 50 pages for about 15 persons, renamed them and saved them in the To be Filed folder.
* Noted that Added or Updated Record Collections at FamilySearch.org - Week of 26 June to 2 July 2016 posted, and added to the Best Of post. Took a nap.
* Went hunting for cousins in the Vaux line, and added a few using FamilySearch Family Tree and searches on Ancestry.
* Went in at 5:30 p.m. to watch TV news, ate dinner, watched the Padres game until 8 p.m., then off to church to see the fireworks at the country club. Boring. Nobody else from church was there. Home by 9:15 p.m. to watch the end of the Padres game, we beat Dbacks 8-4, so now 36-47.
