This was not an all-genealogy day, and I made no real progress except adding some sources and content to my RootsMagic database.
* Dropped Linda off, home to read email and blogs, noted that 1696 Birth Record of Jabez Snow in Eastham, Mass. --- Post 392 of Treasure Chest Thursday posted, and wrote Am I Related to William Shakespeare?
* Picked up Linda, and we went to Costco, had a Polish dog, and home by 10:40 a.m.
* Online to read, added to the Best Of post, answered email, and wrote Seavers in the News - Mary (Parker) Seaver Dies After 1919 Auto Accident.
* Took my nap. Online at 2:30 p.m. to read, then worked on the Bible study for two hours. Checked Twitter and Facebook.
* Went in at 5:15 p.m. to eat dinner, watch TV news, read the paper, and wash dishes.
* Online at 7 p.m. to read, then worked on the 52 Ancestors post. Tried to put the family into the FamilySearch Family Tree, but the FSFT is really messed up for Ruth Young - wrong parents, and none of the kids. Then found I had not copied probate records into Brown and Young profiles so I did that in RootsMagic and added sources.
* Added to the Best Of post, then wrote this post. Genealogy today was 7.0 hours.
Here are the numbers from my RootsMagic database as of 30 November (with increases in the numbers from 1 November in parentheses):
* 49,162 persons (+ 270)
* 19,771 families (+ 131)
* 159,157 events (+ 882)
* 4,351 Alternate Names (+ 164)

* 1,158 Multi-media Items (+ 4)
* 3,161 Multimedia links (+ 11)
* 20,585 matched to FSFT (+ 1227)
I'm up to 56.78% (+0.28%) for citations/events and 183.81% (+0.90%) for citations/persons.
Genea-Musings statistics for November (compared to stats for October):
* 96,805 page views (3,227 per day, Blogger Stats, + 266)
* 28,396 page views ( 947 per day, Statcounter, - 44)
* 21,362 sessions (712 per day, Statcounter, - 52)
* >2,000 readers on Feedly (+??)
* 3,279 readers via email (Feedburner) (+ 197)
Genealogy and family research are an obsession for me. Yea, verily, I am a Geneaholic!

My Genealogy Wednesday - 29 November 2017
This was an all genealogy day, but it was somewhat frustrating. I didn't do the Bible study work, and I spun my wheels tonight trying to find a record on FamilySearch. Drat.
* Dropped Linda off, home to read email and blogs, picked her up, and we went to the grocery store.
* Home by 9:40 a.m., online to add to the Best Of post, noted that Photos from the 2013 SCGS Genealogy Jamboree - Part 1 -- Post 492 of (Not So) Wordless Wednesday posted, then wrote Blaine Bettinger Headlines SDGS Annual Meeting and Seminar - Saturday, 13 January 2018. Rested my eyes a bit.
* Collected the artwork, and left at 11 a.m. for lunch at McDonalds (had to go to three of them due to construction), and then to the library for the CVGS program meeting. Got things set up. Gave my 5 minute spiel about my mother's copper enamel artwork, and took notes on the rest of them. Home by 2 p.m.
* Read email and blogs, went in to the recliner for a 30 minute nap, then online to add to the Best Of post, and wrote Well, Good. Ancestry Explains the Lack of Changes to Number of Collections. Worked a bit in Geni and FamilySearch Family Tree figuring out my relationship to William Shakespeare. Checked Twitter and Facebook.
* Went in at 5:30 for dinner, watch TV, put out the trash, read the paper and do dishes.
* Online at 6:30 p.m. to read, then spent two hours trying to find the death record of Samuel Horton (1686-1778) in Eastham, Mass. on FamilySearch and Ancestry. not in either index list, but my notes say it was on a FHL microfilm. Checked many pages and indexes on that digital film, and no luck. Time ran out to check every one of about 400 images. Drat.
* Wrote the Treasure Chest post for Thursday, and wrote this post. I may go search some more, or not! Genealogy today was 9.5 hours.

My Genealogy Tuesday - 28 November 2017
Another day, some more research and writing and thinking. I didn't sleep well last night - woke up with a leg cramp at 3 a.m. I hate it when that happens.
* Dropped Linda off, home to read email and lbogs, picked her up, and home by 9:15 a.m.
* Noted that Treasure Chest Tuesday -- 1840 Marriage of Alexander Whittle and Rachel Morley in Bolton-le-Moors, Lancashire posted, then wrote And the RootsTech 2018 Registration Contest Winner Is ... Roger Moffat, and set it for later.
* Went in at 10:30 a.m. to take my nap, and slept 90 minutes.
* Up at noon to read, then ate lunch, and online to add to the Best Of post, answer email, and started work on the Genealogy News Bytes - 28 November 2017 post.
* Worked for over an hour in RootsMagic matching profiles with FamilySearch Family Tree profiles in a Seaver line, and adding content to both programs. Checked Twitter and Facebook.
* Went in at 5:30 p.m. to eat dinner, watch TV, and read the paper, finished the laundry, then washed dishes.
* Online at 7 p.m. to read, then wrote the Wordless Wednesday post, and searched for info about Ancestry criteria for indexing member trees. Didn't find much besides my two posts.
* Went in at 8 p.m. to watch Finding Your Roots. I missed some of it while helping Linda.
* Onlined at 9 p.m. to read, add to the Best Of post, TreeShare, check Facebook, and write this post. Genealogy today was 9.0 hours.

My Genealogy Monday - 27 November 2017
This was pretty much an all-genealogy day except for eating, a little shopping, and a good deed. Cooler today, normal temps, almost rained.
* Dropped Linda off, home to read, picked her up and home by 9 a.m.
* Got onto Mondays With Myrt about 5 minutes in, and contributed a bit - told about the Cornelius Feather photo.

* Went off to Costco and bought an HP Envy laptop to replace the old laptop which crapped out recently. It may end up being my desktop computer too. Home by 1:30 p.m.
* Worked on the Bible Study. Answered email on a Kenyon problem. Checked Facebook and Twitter. Wrote A Wonderful Autosomal DNA Relationship Chart From DNA Detectives.
* Went in at 5:45 p.m. to eat dinner, read the paper, watch TV news, and wash dishes. We left at 6:45 p.m. to pick Barbara up at the train station, home by 7:45 p.m.
* Added to the Best Of post, answered email, and wrote the Treasure Chest Tuesday post.
* TreeShared the database, went through A and B names looking for errors, found some! Wrote this post. Genealogy today was 9.5 hours.

My Genealogy Sunday - 26 November 2017
It seems like I'm finding more ways to waste time rather than work on the Ancestry Hints data entry. I have over 49,000 of the darn things.
* Read email on my phone, and off to church at 8:20 a.m. Went to the store, and home by 10:20 a.m. Watched football, read the paper, read blogs on the tablet, ate lunch and took a nap, then watched more football.
* Online at 2 p.m. to read email and blogs, started the new Best Of post, and noted that Best of the Genea-Blogs -- 19 to 25 November 2017 posted.
* Worked on the probate record transcription and wrote the Amanuensis Monday post. Checked Facebook, and did a MyHeritage photo discovery - I typically accept only person images or gravestone photos, no icons or emblems for me.
* Went in at 4 p.m. to watch the end of the Rams game, then outside to put one of the tumbleweeds in the trash can, and then online at 4:45 to note that Added or Updated Ancestry.com Databases - Week of 19 to 25 November 2017 posted. Worked a bit in FamilySearch Family Tree matching profiles with RootsMagic, and adding content and sources when needed.
* Went in at 5:30 p.m. to watch TV news, eat dinner, and do the dishes. Online at 6:30 p.m. to note that Added or Updated Record Collections at FamilySearch.org - Week of 19 to 25 November 2017 posted.
* Worked some more in FSFT matching profiles, adding content and sources. Worked on Ancestry Hints and resolved about 200 of them, adding content and osurces to RootsMagic profiles.
* Checked Facebook, added to the Best Of post, and wrote this post. Genealogy today was 6.0 hours.

My Genealogy Saturday - 25 November 2017
This was a stay-at-home Saturday with no genealogy meetings or Bible study. I feel like I didn't do a lot today.
* Dropped Linda off, home to read, picked her up, and home by 9:15 a.m.
* Noted that Surname Saturday -- LNU (Katherine who married Thomas Read, England to colonial New England) posted, then added to the Best Of post.
* Wrote the SNGF post and had fun doing it. Good memories. Tried matching RootsMagic profiles with FS Family Tree, and discovered a 16th century Bradstreet profile that is not in any book. He has the same name as his father, married a woman with the same first name, and it looks like he died the same day as his father in the same place. I think the son is a phantom.
* Went in at 11:30 to watch football, took a nap, ate lunch, watched more football, then online at 1 p.m. to note that Saturday Night Genealogy Fun - Drive Down Memory Lane: Family Cars posted.
* Wrote the Ancestry and FS posts, then back into the Bradstreet problem. After checking what I have, I worked most of the afternoon fixing him on FSFT, and checked WikiTree, Geni and Ancestry trees too, but didn't edit anything.
* Went in at 5 p.m. to eat dinner, talk about DNA with Diane on the phone, watched football ,read the paper, and washed dishes.
* Online at 6:30 p.m. to read, add to the Best Of post, and TreeShared after doing all of the Bradstreet work. Added content and sources from Ancestry Hints but RM stalled and I gave up on it.
* Checked Facebook, answered email, added Pins, and wrote this post. Genealogy today was 10.5 hours.

* Had lunch, no nap, and watched football. Chargers beat the Cowboys 28-6. Cool!
* We left at 5 p.m. for dinner at Cafe Lamaze. It was OK for me, Linda complained it wasn't hot enough. Home by 7 p.m.

Added to the Best Of post. Wrote most of the Genealogy News Bytes - 24 November 2017 post.

My Genealogy Wednesday - 22 November 2017
I do remember where I was 54 years ago, and what my father's reaction was when I got home from school. We watched TV all weekend. It was warm today here in CV - 92F officially, a record for the date.
* Dropped Linda at the Y, home to read email and blogs, picked her up, and home by 9:14 a.m.
* Noted that 2013 NGS Conference Photos, Part 4 -- Post 491 of (Not So) Wordless Wednesday posted, added to the Best Of post, and wrote Finding the Right Grandfather Cornelius Feather. Took my nap.
* Up at 12:30 p.m. to eat lunch, went off to the library and bank, and home to read, answer email, and work in FamilySearch Family Tree matching one of the Seaver lines.
* Searched for and found the Richmond-White marriage, and wrote Finding the 1868 Richmond-White Marriage Record on FHL Digital Microfilm. Checked Twitter and Facebook.
* Went in at 5:30 p.m. to eat dinner, read the paper, watch TV news, and wash dishes.
* Online at 6:45 p.m. to read, then wrote the Treasure Chest post, wrote two Thanksgiving posts, TreeShared over 70 folks, and worked in FamilySearch Family Tree matching a Horton line, and added a few folks to the database.
* Added to the Best Of post, checked Facebook, and wrote this post. Genealogy today was 10.0 hours.

My Genealogy Tuesday - 21 November 2017
It was a pretty full genealogy and family history day. I wish there had been more family history.
* Dropped Linda at the Y, home to read email and blogs, picked her up and we went to the grocery store. Home by 9:50 a.m.
* Noted that Treasure Chest Tuesday -- 1806 Marriage Record of Thomas Morley and Jane Bury in Bolton-le-Moors, Lancashire posted, and wrote MyHeritage Adds New York Newspapers and Marriage License Records. Rested my eyes for 30 minutes.
* We left at 11:15 a.m. for Carlsbad, and got to In 'n' Out by 12:05 p.m. Waited for Tami's family to get there around 12:30. Had lunch, talked to the kids some, and we left at 1:30 to head home. It's not enough time to spend quiet time with each of them, and listen to their life experiences. I wish we had gone up to Huntington Beach for the night. A lesson learned.
* We got home by 2:10 p.m., and I read, added to the Best Of post, and wrote Genealogy News Bytes - 21 November 2017. Answered email, and dozed a bit in my computer chair.
* Online at 4:30 p.m. to read, then checked on Twitter and Facebook, and worked some in FamilySearch Family Tree. We had soup and fruit for dinner, watched TV news and read the paper.
* Online at 6:45 p.m. to read, then wrote the Wordless Wednesday post, and did more in FSFT matching people to my RootsMagic database and adding content to both. I usually add more to the FSFT profiles, but sometimes that has more info than my RM profiles.
* Went in at 8 p.m. to watch Finding Your Roots. I really enjoyed it. The DNA findings were crucial, and fascinating. After the big ancestor chart reveal, I knew that I was a cousin to both Gaby Hoffmann and Tea Leoni. I share Henry II (my 23rd great-grandfather) with Gaby, and Charlemagne (my 39th great-grandfather) with Tea. They are both in my RootsMagic database along with my line from them. I told Linda that they were my cousins...and she said "wow, how do you know that?" I said "research over 30 years..." and "almost anyone with European ancestry is a descendant of Charlemagne, and almost anyone with English ancestry is a descendants of royals." I was disappointed that they didn't show Tea's Leoni (I assume Italian ) line. Not enough time. Oh well.
* Online at 9 p.m. to write something on Facebook, then write this post, and I will TreeShare. Genealogy today was 7.5 hours.

I was disappointed that they didn't show Tea's Leoni (I assume Italian ) line. Not enough time. Oh well.
* Online at 9 p.m. to write something on Facebook, then write this post, and I will TreeShare. Genealogy today was 7.5 hours.

My Genealogy Monday - 20 November 2017
Another full genealogy Monday with the usual tasks. I need some excitement - a new ancestor would be nice!
* Dropped Linda at the Y, home to read email and blogs, picked her up and we were home by 8:55 a.m.
* Was able to get in the green room on Mondays With Myrt for a change, and the panel had a long and fruitful discussion about many topics.
* Noted that Amanuensis Monday - Probate Records for Estate of John Plimpton (1708-1756) of Medfield, Mass. - Part 4 posted and wrote Good News for Suffolk County, Massachusetts Researchers after finding the missing John Plimpton document.
* Took my nap, had lunch, and online at 1 p.m. to add to the Best Of post. Wrote Monday Genea-Pourri after checking my DNA matches. Answered email.
* Worked in FamilySearch Family Tree matching some Seaver folks with RootsMagic, and adding events and sources to both. Forgot to check Twitter and Facebook. TreeShared the RootsMagic file.
* Went in at 5:15 p.m. to eat dinner, watch TV news, read the paper, water the front plants, and wash dishes.
* Online at 6:30 p.m. to read, add to the Best Of post, and write the Treasure Chest post. Then checked for new AncestryDNA matches. Worked in the Lincoln line a bit matching folks with FamilySearch Family Tree.

My Genealogy Sunday - 19 November 2017
It wasn't much of a genealogy day. A little blogging, a little Hint entry, and that's it. The Chargers won big, though.
* Read email before church, left at 8:15 for the early service, and home by 9:55 a.m. Watched the football game, took a nap, and read blogs on my phone. Had lunch. Came in at 12:30 to read email and blogs, and noted that Best of the Genea-Blogs - 12 to 18 November 2017 posted.
* Back to the TV at 1 p.m. to watch the end of the Chiefas game and then the Chargers game. Chargers beat Buffalo 54-24 and it wasn't that close. The other three AFC West teams lost so we're tied for second, two back of KC. Hope springs eternal.
* Online at 4:30 p.m. to transcribe the Plimpton probate documents. Went in at 5:30 p.m. to eat dinner, watch TV news, and wash dishes.
* Online at 6:30 p.m. to read, wrote the Amanuensis post, and noted that Added or Updated Ancestry.com Databases - Week of 12 to 18 November 2017 and Added or Updated Record Collections at FamilySearch.org - Week of 12 to 18 November 2017 posted.
* TreeShared, then worked Ancestry Hints for awhile, adding content and sources. Checked Denmark census records again for the Hede/Stenger/Sorenson families without success. Strange.
* Checked Facebook, added to the Best Of post, and wrote this post. Genealogy today was 4.0 hours.

* Dropped Linda at the Y, home to gather the Bible Study stuff, and left at 7:40 for Marie Callendars The lesson went pretty well - they seemed to think I knew what I was doing. Dazzled them with charts. Picked up Linda and home by 9:50.

My Semi-Genealogy Tuesday - 14 November 2017
This was not a big genealogy Tuesday - a little blogging, some reading, no research, but a necessary task day for family history.
* Dropped Linda off, home to read emails and blogs, noted that Treasure Chest Tuesday -- 1798 Marriage Record of Robert Bury and Jane Haslam in Bolton-le-Moors, Lancashire posted, picked her up at 9 a.m., and we went off to the trust lawyer's office in La Mesa.
* We went five weeks ago to update our trust, wills, powers of attorney, etc., and today we reviewed and signed everything, and received our books of documents. We got there at 9:30 a.m., broke for lunch at 12:30, and picked up the books at 1:30 p.m., and stopped at the grocery store on the way home, and got home by 2:15.
* Added to the Best Of post, and got sleepy so went in to take my nap. OASIS called as I was going to sleep, and we agreed on dates for my 4-session class. Had no problem falling asleep.

My Genealogy Saturday - 11 November 2017
At the 11th minute of the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 2017 (Pacific Time) I was sitting on the throne at St. Andrew's Church in San Diego. At that time in France I was sound asleep in Chula Vista. Anyway, it was Veteran's Day.
* Linda didn't go to the Y, so I read email and blogs, then packed up and left at 8:15 a.m. for the SDGS meeting. Noted that Veterans Day 2017 - Honoring My Heroes posted.
* Got there at 8:45 and Gordon brought his laptop and I used it for the 9 a.m. RootsMagic class. We had 9 in attendance. Only had 50 minutes, so reviewed the views, navigation, the menus, source citations, TreeShare and WebHints, and not much else. Time flies!
* Heard Jeanette's first talk about newspapers but was dozy, had a snack, and came home rather than stay for the second talk. Home by 11:45 a.m., had lunch, watched football and dozed in the recliner.
* Online at 2 p.m. to note that Surname Saturday - BALLARD (England to colonial Massachusetts) and Saturday Night Genealogy Fun -- Make an Ancestor's Timeline posted.
* Added to the Best Of post, and wrote the Ancestry and FamilySearch posts for Sunday. Worked on email, and checked Facebook. Watered the front plants.
* Went in at 4:55 p.m. for dinner, watch TV news, read the paper, and wash dishes.
* Online at 6 p.m. to read, then worked in RootsMagic matching a Seaver line to FamilySearch Family Tree, and adding data to both trees. TreeShared.
* Got an email with a picture of Cornelius Feather and worked in RM/FSFT to try to identify which Cornelius it is. Matched a lot of Feathers in FSFT and added content.
* Added to the Best Of post, then wrote this post. Genealogy today was 8.0 hours.

It was another all genealogy day except for dinner and a nap. These are the days I seem to find a lot to do and advance the genealogy research ball a bit.
* Dropped Linda off, read email and blogs, picked her up and home by 9:10 a.m.
* Noted that 1705/6 Marriage of Thomas Dill and Mary Pierce in Woburn, Mass. --- Post 389 of Treasure Chest Thursday posted, and wrote Updated Find A Grave Website Adds Decent Source Citations. Couldn't find the memorial on FamilySearch for some reason.
* Added to the Best Of post, answered email, did some searching and added some Seaver data to the database. Took my nap.
* Had lunch, and online again at 12:30 p.m. to read, work some in DNA matches on Ancestry, then wrote Seavers in the News -- 1923 Obituary for Charles L. Seaver.
* Caught up on Twitter and Facebook, then tried the Elizabeth Smith Fand A Grave on FamilySearch and figured it out. Wrote Find A Grave Search Quirks on FamilySearch.
* Went in at 5:15 p.m. for dinner, read the paper, watched TV news, and washed dishes.
* Online at 6:15 p.m. to work on the 52 Ancestors biography and write the post. Then TreeShared (had a lot to do) and read more pages in AJ's book.
* Added to the Best Of post, and wrote this post. Genealogy today was 10.0 hours.

My Genealogy Wednesday - 8 November 2017
This was an all genealogy day, but with a major problem in the middle of it.
* Dropped Linda off, home to read, and fired up the laptop. Hmmm, it wouldn't connect to the wifi. First time it's done that. worked fine last time I had it open. Couldn't figure out what to do. Picked up Linda and home by 9:15 a.m.
* Noted that 2013 NGS Conference, Part 2 -- Post 489 of (Not So) Wordless Wednesday posted, and wrote SDGS Program Meeting on Saturday, 11 November Features Jeanette Shiel. Wrote A.J. Jacobs "It's all Relative" Book Notice and set it for later.
* Worked on the wifi problem - isolated it to the laptop. Googled the problem, followed directions, and nothing worked. Conclusion is the Wireless Adapter has crapped out. It's a 7 year old Windows machine. I see a new laptop in my future!
* Left at 11:05 a.m. for lunch at McDonalds, then to the library to visit John's group and then to the auditorium to set up for the CVGS Research Group. Tried using John's laptop, but we couldn't make the projector show on the screen. Finally used Gary's laptop, but wasted 30 minutes working through all of this. Had 18 at the Research Group, and went the full two hours.
* Home by 2:30 p.m. to read, added to the Best Of post, then worked in RootsMagic on Kemp families in FamilySearch Family Tree. TreeShared. Meant to tweet but didn't. Oh well.
* Went in at 5 p.m. to eat dinner, and watch TV, then read the paper, did the dishes and put out the trash.
* Online at 7 p.m. to read, wrote the Treasure Chest post, and worked in Ancestry Hints adding content and sources to the database. Up and down with Linda's demands and phone calls.
* Answered email, added to the Best Of post, and wrote this post. genealogy today was (not counting the laptop issue) 9.0 hours,
