*  Read email and blogs, added to the Best Of post, and noted that Exploring the New "Ancestor Discovery Pages" on FamilySearch posted.

Genea-Journal - Tuesday, 24 November 2020

hmmm, two weeks ago was my last post.  Did you miss me?  I've been busy and now it doesn't seem that important to journal every day.  It is what it is - late November, almost turkey day, and we are still here doing pretty much the same things day after day.

*  Read email and blogs, added to the Best Of post, and noted that Review: "Genealogy at a Glance: War of 1812 Research - Updated Edition," by Rebecca Whitman Koford, CG, CGL posted.  Checked AncestryDNA.

*  Packed and sealed and took my forever box to FedEx - hope to get it back by New Years.

*  Downloaded MyHeritageDNA spreadsheets hoping to get inspiration to do a DNA matches list.  Had lunch.

*  Wrote Genealogy News and Education Bytes -- Tuesday, 24 November 2020 and found one of the Italian lines in a tree and added two families.  Fun!!

*  Went in at 5 p.m. for dinner, watched TV, read the paper, washed dishes, finished the laundry.

*  Online at 6:30 p.m. to read, talked to Lori on the phone, wrote the Wordless post, and resolved 215 Ancestry Hints adding content and sources to RootsMagic.

*  Added to the Best Of post, checked Facebook, answered email, and wrote this post.  Genealogy today was 11.0 hours.

Genea-Journal - Saturday, 11 May 2019

9 weeks until my SDGS talks, and I've just started the presentations.  Need to hurry more.

*  It rained this morning, so Linda didn't go to the Y.  Read email and blogs, added to the Best Of post and noted that Surname Saturday -- LUMPKIN (England to colonial Massachusetts) posted.  Wrote the FamilySearch and Ancestry posts.

*  Left at 9:20 for the SDGS meeting, got there by 9:40 a.m. and talked to folks.  Anne T. gave the first talk, and the second session was round tables.  I moderated New England, with only 4 others in attendance.  Frustrating, 4 didn't show!  Had a nice handout.  Talked to Jenny afterward about Forever storage.

*  Home by 1 p.m. to read, noted that Saturday Night Genealogy Fun - Tell a Story About Your Mother posted.  Took a recliner nap.

*  Online at 3:30 p.m. to read, then signed up for a free Forever storage account, and uploaded about 20 photos into an album.  Lots more to do, but this seems like a great way to save stuff for posterity.

*  Worked in WebHints and FamilySearch Family Tree in RootsMagic, solved several challenges to existing profiles.

*  Went in at 5:30 p.m. for dinner, watched the Padres game, read the paper, did the dishes, and read my book.  Padres won 4-3 in the 9th inning over Rockies, so now 22-18 on the season.

*  Online at 8:15 p.m. to add to the Best Of post, check email, and resolve 264 Ancestry Hints, adding content and sources to the RootsMagic file.  I need to TreeShare.

*  Online at 4 p.m. to answer email, and uploaded a video to my YouTube channel.   Took awhile - 16 minutes.  But it's there.  Posted a link to it on Facebook.  Asked for help on how to edit it and do a voiceover on it.  22 to go!  Noted that Saturday Night Genealogy Fun -- Date Your Grandfather Was Born posted.
