*  Noted that Amanuensis Monday - Inventory of William White (1708-1780) of Dartmouth, Mass. posted, added to the Best Of post, and wrote Mining the 1939 Register of England & Wales on MyHeritage.  Worked in the 1939 Register, adding content and sources for about 10 of those on the matchl ist.

*  Dozed for a bit, then had lunch, and worked some more in the 1939 Register, then wrote Monday Genea-Pourri - 28 May 2018.

*  Online at 3:45 p.m. to read, add to the Best Of post, check Twitter and Facebook.

*  Went in at 5:15 p.m. to watch TV news, eat dinner, wash dishes, and water the front plants.

My Genealogy Sunday - 27 May 2018

This was a pretty typical genealogy summer Sunday - not much until after the Padres game.

*  Read email and blogs, and off to church at 9:30 after watching the start of the Indy 500.  We stopped at the store after church, and home at noon.  Watched the end of the race.

*  Online at 12:40 p.m. to read, noted that Added or Updated Ancestry.com Record Collections - Week of 20 to 26 May 2018 posted, and started transcribing the White inventory.

*  Went in at 1:15 p.m. to watch the Padres game, read the paper, and doze in the recliner.  Padres lost 6-1 to Dodgers, so now 22-32 on the season.

*  Online at 3:40 p.m. to note that Best of the Genea-Blogs - 20 to 26 May 2018 posted, then worked on the transcription.

*  Went in for dinner at 5:30 p.m., watched TV news, and washed dishes.

*  Online at 6:15 p.m. and posted Chula Vista Genealogical Society Program Meeting - Wednesday, 30 May 2018.

My Genealogy Saturday - 26 May 2018

One week from now Jamboree will be over!  This was a fairly full genealogy Saturday for me.

*  Dropped Linda off, home to read, picked her up and home by 9:15.  Gathered my laptop and flash drive and left at 9:25 for the FamilySearch Library.  Got there at 9:45 and it wasn't open.  Huh?  Other people came, one called the director and he got there to open up at 10:30, 30 minutes late.

*  Got set up in the conference room with RootsMagic and we had our user group meeting.  Only 6 attendees.  Discussed different reports and merging duplicate people, and finding duplicate people in Ancestry Member Trees.

*  I spent an hour using the FSL computers for English parish records I can't see at home.  Downloaded a few records.  None of what I found were the originals - either bishops transcripts or parish record transcripts for Redruth, Cornwall.  Frustrating that!  Ate my pretzels on the way home.

*  Home by 1:30 p.m., added to the Best Of post, but sleepy, so napped in the recliner.

*  Online at 3 p.m. to read, then wrote the FS and Ancestry posts.  TreeShared the big tree, then did the project tree too.  Noted that Surname Saturday -- LUMBERT (England to colonial New England) and Saturday Night Genealogy Fun - Who Is Your Most Recent Unknown Ancestor (MRUA)? posted.

*  Went in at 5:15 p.m. for dinner, watched TV, read the paper, and watered the front plants.

*  Online at 6 p.m. to read, then worked a bit in MyHeritage record matches - went through all of one database record matches adding content and sources to my big tree.  Computer slowed down and wouldn't find websites for some reason.

*  Went in at 7:10 p.m. to watch the Padres game.  Finished the paper, and read my book.  Padres beat Dodgers 7-5 so now 22-31 on the season.  We need a winning streak!

*  Online at 10:25 p.m. and computer still won't work, so rebooted.  Checked stuff on my phone.  Wrote this post.  Genealogy today was 6.5 hours.

My Genealogy Friday - 25 May 2018

A long weekend is coming up - and then we go to Jamboree on Wednesday.  It should be an interesting, and hectic, week.

*  Dropped Linda at the Y, home to read email and blogs, picked her up, and home to add to the Best Of post, noted that 52 Ancestors - Week 228: #353 Abigail (Thurston) White (1700-1770) of Dartmouth, Massachusetts posted, went through the Descendancy presentation editing, and wrote New Records Available To Search This Findmypast Friday, 25 May 2018.

*  Took a nap, had lunch, and finished the laundry.  Wrote Genealogy News Bytes - 25 May 2018.

*  Went to the library to return books and got two more for evening reading.  Home by 2:30 to find the power off - the electric guys were down on Naples when I drove by.  It came on at about 3:15.  Got to fix all the clocks again.

*  Checked Twitter and Facebook, and wrote a Surname post for Saturday.

*  Went in at 5:15 p.m. for dinner, watched TV news, and read the paper.  Online at 6 p.m. to read, then wrote the SNGF post.  Decided to add the Lanfear families to the database and got Isaac's family and grandkids into RootsMagic.  Need to TreeShare to get Hints produced.

*  Went in at 7:15 p.m. to watch the Padres game, read the paper, then read one of the books, did the dishes.  Padres lost to dodgers 4-1, so now 21-31 on the season, which is almost 1/3 over.

*  Online at 9:40 p.m. to read, add to the Best Of post, check Facebook, and write this post.  Genealogy today was 7.5 hours.

My Genealogy Thursday - 24 May 2018

This was more of a stay-at-home Thursday than I anticipated.  I didn't getm uch done today even though there was no nap and no Padres game.  The time flew by.

*  It was misty this morning, and Linda didn't go to the Y.  I read email and blogs, and noted that   1700 Birth Record of Abigail Thurston in Little Compton, R.I. - Post 413 for Treasure Chest Thursday posted.

*  We left at 9 for Linda's hair appointment and were back by 9:40 a.m.  Wrote Announcing "Unlock the Past in Seattle" Conference with Blaine Bettinger and Maurice Gleeson and set it for later.  Added to the Best Of post.

*  Worked for awhile in Geni.com adding notes to about 20 of my ancestors.  I need to do more of this.  I also need to figure out how to add families easily on Geni.

*  Tried to nap, but gave up after 15 minutes.  Had lunch, then lookerd for Seaver news items.  Found several.  Wrote Seavers in the News - Roland Burrage Dixon Death in 1934 in Boston and set it for later.  Added him and his parents to the database, and solved the longstanding Lewis Seaver issue - he changed his name after his father died, and took his step-father's surname.

*  Answered email and FS messages, and added more data to a Seaver family and updated it on Family Tree.  also updated the Lewis Seaver family on Family Tree.

*  Checked Facebook and wrote this post.  Genealogy today was 8.5 hours.

*  Dropped Linda at the Y, home to read email and blogs, picked her up and we went to get her second pair of glasses.  They came with pink temples instead of black like we had been promised.  She took the opportunity to get a metal frame and they will re-do the lenses.  5 to 10 days.  Good.

*  Home by 10 p.m. to note that Treasure Chest Tuesday - Lyle L. Carringer's 1909-14 High School Grade Summary Card posted and add to the Best Of post.  Wrote SCGS Genealogy Jamboree Livestreaming Sessions Announced.

My Genealogy Sunday - 20 May 2018

This was a pretty good genealogy day - I think I've solved one mystery with the help of a non-cousin.

*  Read email and blogs before off to church at 9:30 a.m.  Had several kudos about my presentation on Saturday.  One of the pastors is a Richard Warren descendant.  Home by 11:20 a.m.

*  Watched the Padres game, read the paper, had lunch and dozed a bit.  Padres  came from behind with 4 runs in the 9th to win 8-5 over Pittsburgh.  3 in a row, now 20-28.  Pitching is getting better.

*  Online at 2:15 p.m. to read, noted that Added or Updated Ancestry.com Record Collections - Week of 13 to 19 May 2018 and Best of the Genea-Blogs - 13 to 19 May 2018 posted.

*  Transcribed the will and write the Amanuensis Monday post.   Checked out my FamilySearch messages and saw that someone had figured out the Sephrona Kemp mystery.  I think he's right!  I added content to reflect the hypothesis and sourced events.  Sleepy, so took a 30 minute nap.

*  Went in at 5 p.m. for dinner, washed dishes, and worked out front on the bigger rose bush.  Got it trimmed a bit and then weeded some.  A nice little workout!

*  Online at 6:30 p.m. to work on the Sephrona problem some more.  TreeShared the big database.  Then looked for descendants of Joseph Champlin in Family Tree and added quite a few new persons (mostly spouses) and some events.  TreeShared that too so now I will get Ancestry Hints.

*  Added to the Best Of post, and wrote this post.  Genealogy today was 5.5 hours.

My Genealogy Saturday - 19 May 2018

Why can't I sleep past 5 a.m. on presentation days?  It's really frustrating.  I was tired all day.

*  Dropped Linda at the Y, went to my men's breakfast, picked up Linda at 9 a.m., and got to church by 9:20 a.m.

*  Tried to hook my laptop up to the VGA cable on the stage and that didn't work.  I have no idea why.  So I hooked it to the VGA cable at the back of the room, used my clicker, and talked to the slides on the screen from the stage.  It worked out OK, I guess.  The audience of 30 seemed to enjoy the talk - lots of questions.  We had lunch there, and were home by 12:45 a.m.

*  Online to add to the Best Of post, noted that Surname Saturday - EDDY (England to colonial New England) and Saturday Night Genealogy Fun - What Did Your Mother Love To Do? posted.

*  Went in at 3:30 p.m. to watch the Preakness, then the Padres game.  Read the paper, ate dinner, washed dishes.  The Padres won 6-2 over Pirates, so now 19-28 on the season.

*  Online at 7 p.m. to read, add to the Best Of post, noted that Added or Updated Record Collections at FamilySearch.org - Week of 13 to 19 May 2018 posted.

*  Worked in the Project tree trying to add content - persons, events, sources.  Added several families of siblings of the ancestors.  TreeShared twice.  I may not make much more progress finding ancestors - now I need to collect records from online and digital microfilm to support the presentation.

*  Checked Facebook, wrote this post.  Genealogy today was 5.0 hours.

My Genealogy Tuesday - 15 May 2018

It was not a big genealogy day here in the genea-cave, mainly because we went to the Padres game in the afternoon.  Of course, that opened up the evening, which I took advantage of.

*  Dropped Linda at the Y, home to read email and blogs, picked her up, and home by 9:15 a.m.  Noted that Treasure Chest Tuesday - Lyle L.
