Halloween was a disappointment. Only 5 kids in two groups came late trick or treating. Oh well. At least they said thank you. And now I have more M&Ms to enjoy - the leftovers. There was method to my madness.

* Added to the Best Of post, answered email, and added notes to some AncestryDNA matches. Rested my eyes for 30 minutes.
* Had lunch, gathered my stuff, and off to the library for the CVGS program meeting. Judy did her talk and we enjoyed the Halloween goodies. Found out that Karen will leave us soon - boo!

My Genealogy Monday - 22 October 2018
This was daughter Tami's birthday, but she spent it laid up at home with a number of health problems. Kids get older too. My day was dominated by toilets.
* Dropped Linda off at 7:30, home to read, picked her up at 8:50 and home at 9 a.m.
* Got into Mondays With Myrt and discussed my DNA class, which led to as discussion of CeCe Moore's 60 Minutes interview, and then privacy issues. We had a good discussion.
* I called Bob the plumber and he came right away to fix the flushing mechanism on the master bathroom toilet (plastic thing broke) and he fixed the plugger thingie on the bathroom sink too. I showed him the rocking toilet in the guest bathroom, and he noted it was cracked at the base and could break at any time. He recommended replacing it and said he would give us a price to fix it. All in less than an hour.
* Online at 11:30 a.m. to note that Amanuensis Monday - 1813 Deed of Shobal C. Allen to Zachariah Hildreth Jr. in Townsend, Mass. posted, added to the Best Of post, and had lunch. Wrote Monday Genea-Pourri - 22 October 2018. Took my nap.
* Online at 2:30 p.m. to read, matched a whole section of my Seaver folks to Family Tree, and then checked Twitter and Facebook.
* Went in at 5:15 p.m. to watch TV news, read the paper, eat dinner, and wash dishes. Bob called with the quote and he will come tomorrow to install my birthday toilet. Cool.
* Online at 7 p.m. to read, talked to Lori, and wrote the Treasure Chest post. Added to the Best Of post, checked Facebook, and wrote this post. Genealogy today was 8.0 hours.
Tomorrow is my 75th birthday, so blogging may be lighter than usual. I hope I like my birthday toilet. We're going out to dinner.

My Semi-Genealogy Weekend - 20-21 October 2018
I say "semi" because there was a lot of other stuff happening, but I did do some research. And blog.
1) Saturday, 20 October:
* Dropped Linda off, went to Marie Callenders for men's Bible study, we started in on Judges. got through first 5 chapters. Picked Linda up at 9:45 and we went to Costco, and home by 10:30 a.m.
* Online to note that Surname Saturday -- CRISPE (England to colonial New England) posted, added to the Best Of post, and answered email. Took a nap and missed the SDGS luncheon. Oh well.
* Had lunch, then wrote the FamilySearch and Ancestry posts. Noted that Saturday Night Genealogy Fun - How Did You Get to School? posted.
* Looked for almost two hours for the Mayflower application a lady sent me 3 years ago. I didn't find the email, but I did find the file in Downloads. Sent it to Laura.
Checked Facebook and saw the Seaver Clan page was available, so read that for a bit. It had some Seaver lines on it, so I started searching and added about 40 more Seaver folks to the database.
* Went in at 5:30 p.m. to watch the baseball game, eat dinner, read the paper, wash dishes, and then watched the Aztecs game. Aztecs won 16-13 but it was close against San Jose State. Lucky.
* Game was over at 10:30, so checked email and blogs, noted that Added or Updated Record Collections at FamilySearch.org - Week of 14 to 20 October 2018 posted. Did not journal. Genealgy this day was 5.0 hours.
2) Sunday, 21 October:
* The toilet handle broke this morning and we have to flush by pulling up on the arm inside the tank. The float doesn't seat properly either. Drat.
* Up at 6:30 a.m. to watch the Chargers game in London, they won 20-19. Read email and blogs on my phone. We left for church at 9:40, stopped at the store on the way home, and home by 11:45 a.m.
* Edited the Best Of post, noted that Added, Updated and Coming Soon Ancestry.com Record Collections - Week of 14 to 20 October 2018 posted, and went in for lunch, watch football and read the paper. Dozed a bit in the recliner.
* Online at 2:30 p.m. to note that Best of the Genea-Blogs - 14 to 20 October 2018 posted, and transcribed a deed and wrote the Amanuensis Monday post. Answered email. Added more content for those Seavers I worked on Saturday.
* Went in at 4:30 to watch football, we ate dinner, and I clipped the rose bushes for 30 minutes. Watered the plants, washed dishes, and took out trash.
* Online at 6:30 p.m. to read, answer email, and TreeShared the big tree, adding all of those Seaver folks to my AMT. Also matched them to Family Tree. Worked on random tree people adding content and sources from Hints and Searches in Ancestry.
* Checked Facebook, and wrote this post. Genealogy today was 5.5 hours.

My Genealogy Sunday and Monday - 14 and 15 October 2018
I skipped journaling because I did very little real work on Sunday - football and baseball you know! I put a full day in on Monday. It was my father's 107th birthday, but I didn't write about him. I thought about him, and thanked him for my wonderful New England ancestry, though, although he had only a small part in it.
1) Sunday, 14 October:
* Read email and blogs on my phone, and watched the Chargers game. They beat the Browns 38-14. Then watched some of the Rams game and tried to nap.
* Went in at 2:30 p.m. to read, and noted that Added or Updated Ancestry.com Record Collections - Week of 7 to 13 October 2018 and Best of the Genea-Blogs - 7 to 13 October 2018 posted. Wrote the Amanuensis Monday post too.
* Back to the TV to see the baseball game, and eat dinner. Online to read at 6:30 p.m. and check Facebook, then matched some profiles with Family Tree. Watched end of the Kansas City/New England game. Read my book.
* Added to the Best Of blog, then checked Facebook and answered email. Genealogy this day was 3.5 hours.
2) Monday, 15 October:
* Dropped Linda off, home to read, noted that Amanuensis Monday - 1812 Deed of Zachariah Hildreth to Zachariah Hildreth Jr. in Townsend, Mass. posted, then picked her up and went to the grocery store.
* Home at 9:30 a.m. to get into the Pirates presentation, then Mondays With Myrt until 11 a.m. Added to the Best Ofg post, then took my nap.
* Online at 12:30 p.m. to have lunch, wrote Ancestry.com Indexing "Errors" on Massachusetts Death Records Collection and Monday Genea-Pourri - 15 October 2018.
* Checked Twitter and Facebook, and at 5 p.m. went in to watch the baseball game, eat dinner, read the paper, water the front plants, and wash dishes.
* Online at 8:15 p.m. to write the Treasure Chest post, added to the Best Of post, read Roberta's DNA post, checked Facebook, and wrote this post. Genealogy today was 8.0 hours.

I didn't journal last night because the Aztec football game went long and time was short. Then it took an hour to get to sleep. I was sleepy all day today.

* Online to read email, add to the Best Of post and check Facebook. Genealogy this day was 6.5 hours.
2) Saturday, 13 October:
* Dropped Linda off, home to read, did laundry, picked her up, and off to the SDGS meeting at 9:20 a.m.
* Two good talks by Kitty Cooper on DNA, had snacks for lunch, and talked to several friends, but several not there. Home by 1 p.m.

My Genealogy Tuesday - 9 October 2018
This was a fairly typical genealogy Tuesday - some blogging, some searching, and some real life moments, plus baseball.
* Dropped Linda at the Y, home to read, noted that Treasure Chest Tuesday - 1942 Obituary and Funeral Notice of Frederick Walton Seaver (1876-1942) posted, and picked her up at 9 a.m. We went on our second great swimsuit hunt and found some at Kohls. Bought two, not cheap, but she can wear them. Stopped at the grocery store on the way back, and home by 10:30 a.m.
* Added to the Best Of post, and updated the Be An Ancestry Detective presentation. Tried to nap, not sure how successful it was.
* Had lunch, then online to read, answer email, and printed out the handout for Thursday. Had to change ink cartridges. Wrote Genealogy News Bytes - 9 October 2018. Checked Twitter and Facebook.
* Wrote Photos From CVGS Family History Day on 29 September - Set 2. Worked a bit in Family Tree matching profiles to RootsMagic.
* Went in at 5 p.m. to east dinner, watch baseball, read the paper, wash dishes.
* Online at 7 p.m. to write the Wordless Wednesday post, then resolved over 350 Ancestry hints, adding content and sources.
* Added to the Best Of post, and wrote this post. Genealogy today was 7.5 hours.
