This was almost an all genealogy day, and I even finished a task.

*  Dropped Linda off at the Y, home to read email and blogs, added to the Best Of post, and noted that 52 Ancestors - Week 315: #526 Thomas Goble (1656-1724) of Concord, Massachusetts posted.  Added names and addresses to the party list, and one more edit it's ready to go (until we remember one more name...).

*  Picked her up at 9 a.m., and we went to the grocery store.  Home by 10 a.m.

*  Wrote New Records Available To Search This Findmypast Friday, 31 January 2020.  Really sleepy so napped for two hours.

*  Online at 12:30 p.m. to read, then wrote Genealogy News Bytes - Friday, 31 January 2020.  Worked on Web Hints in RootsMagic, adding content and sources.

*  Checked Twitter and Facebook, added to the Best Of post, and did more Web Hints.

*  Went in at 5 p.m. to cook dinner, we ate, watched TV news, read the paper and washed dishes.

*  Online at 6:30 p.m. to read, wrote the FamilySearch, Ancestry and SNGF posts for Saturday.  Resolved 229 Ancestry Hints, adding content and sources.

*  Answered email, added to the Best Of post, and check Facebook, then wrote this post.  Genealogy today was 9.0 hours.

Genea-Journal - Thursday, 30 January 2020

Well, 30 days down, 336 to go in 2020.  By this time next year we may have a new President and I may have solved another ancestral puzzle.  Or not.  

*  Dropped Linda at the Y at 7:30, home to read, add to the Best Of post, and noted that Treasure Chest Thursday -- 1686 Marriage Record of Thomas Goble and Sarah Shepard in Concord, Mass. posted.  

*  Picked her up at 9:30, and we ventured to Costco Island and spent some money on needed stuff.  Once every 3 weeks is not bad.  Home by 10:30 a.m.

*  Checked email, and took my nap.  Online at 12:30 p.m., had lunch, added to the Best Of post, and wrote Seavers in the News -- G.A. Seaver Died in 1918 in Sonoma County, California.  Worked on Mr. G.A. Seaver's descendants in the RootsMagic tree.

*  Checked Twitter and Facebook, then started looking at the 52 Ancestors subject for Friday.  Some work to do here!

*  Went in at 4:50 p.m. to cook dinner, we ate, watched TV news, read the paper, and washed dishes.

*  Online at 6:15 p.m. to add to the Best Of post, then worked on the 52 Ancestors post.  Finally finished after 8:30.  

*  Checked Facebook, answered some email, and added to the Best Of post, then wrote this post.  Genealogy today was 8.5 hours.

Genea-Journal - Wednesday, 29 January 2020

This was another busy genealogy day with the CVGS program.  Got none of the tasks done that I want to do.

*  Dropped Linda at the Y at 7 a.m., home to read, added to the Best Of post, and noted that Mama Lee and Tami at Christmas 1977 -- Post 602 of (Not So) Wordless Wednesday posted.

*  Picked her up at 9 a.m. and home.  Wrote Randy's Autosomal DNA Test and Analysis Summary - 29 January 2020 and set it for later.  Took my nap.

*  Had lunch at 11 a.m., gathered my stuff and off to the library at 11:20 a.m., and had to park far away.  Talked to Gena for awhile, and Cindy too.  Gena's talk was excellent, and talked to our visitor from PA Diane again, and Jane who we haven't seen for awhile.  Went over to the Museum corner and read most of the Holocaust stuff.  Moving.  Tragic.  Our neighbor Ruthie was a survivor who died just a year ago.

*  Home by 3 p.m. to read, then wrote 24-Hour Genealogy Webinar Marathon on March 12-13, 2020.  Checked Twitter and Facebook.  Worked a bit on Irish Seavers from WebHints - added some source citations.

*  Went in at 5:30 p.m. to fix dinner, watch TV news, read the paper, put out the trash, and was dishes.

*  Online at 7 p.m. to write the Treasure Chest post, and check Family Tree for the Goble and Shepard families.  Checked Facebook, added to the Best Of post, and wrote this post.  Genealogy today was 10.0 hours.

This was a fairly fun genealogy day.  I didn't work on the things I need to work on, though - taxes, Mayflower and party list.  Drat.  Maybe Wednesday...stay tuned.

*  Dropped Linda at the Y, home to read email and blogs, added to the Best Of post, and noted that   Tuesday's Tip: Research Using the 1870 United States Federal Census posted.  Picked her up and we made a grocery store run.  Home by 9:45 a.m.

*  Answered email about the Kenyon book, and made a GEDCOM file and uploaded it to MyHeritage.  Took my nap.  Had lunch, and got the laundry started and picked weeds in front.  Wrote Genealogy News Bytes - 28 January 2020.

*  Checked Twitter and Facebook.  Watched some of the impeachment talks.  Worked in FamilySearch Family Tree adding Seever and Sevier families to the database.  

*  Went in at 5:15 p.;m. to heat up dinner, we ate, watched TV news, read the paper, washed dishes, and put the laundry in the dryer.

*  Online at 6:45 p.m. to read, wrote the Wordless Wednesday post, worked more on the Sevier family, talked to Lori, and watched Finding Your Roots.

*  Added to the Best Of post, checked Facebook, and wrote this post.  Genealogy today was 9.0 hours.

Genea-Journal - 26-27 January 2020

I missed journaling again, getting to be a habit.  Did anyone notice?  Probably not.  I do this for my own memory.

1)  Sunday, 26 January:

*  Read email and blogs, and started the transcription of the Simon Gates deed.

*  We left for church at 9:45 and home by 11:15.  Finished up the Amanuensis post, and noted that   Best of the Genea-Blogs - 19 to 25 January 2020 posted.

*  Went in to have lunch, and watched the golf tournament.  I read the paper, and probably dozed a bit.  Kobe Bryant news too.

*  Online at 4 p.m. to add to the new Best Of post and write CVGS Presents Gena Philibert-Ortega on Wednesday, 29 January 2020.  

*  Went in for dinner at 5:15 p.m., watched TV news, and did the dishes.

*  Online at 6:30 p.m. to read, resolved 182 Ancestry Hints and TreeShared 86 profiles with the Ancestry tree.

*  Checked Facebook, and didn't journal.  Genealogy this day was 5.0 hours.

2)  Monday - 27 January:

*  Dropped Linda at the Y, home to read, noted that Amanuensis Monday -- 1729 Deed of Simon Gates to Francis Eveleth in Middlesex County, Massachusetts posted.

*  Picked her up and home by 9:15 a.m.  No Mondays With Myrt today.  Added to the Best Of post, answered email, worked on the guest list, and prepped for my meeting at 11 a.m.

*  Went down to church at 10:45 to turn in our facility request for the anniversary, and had my meeting with Tracey.  Good stuff.  Home by noon.

*  Ate lunch, and had a nice nap.  Online at 1:45 p.m. to read, add to the Best Of post, and write   Monday Genea-Pourri - Week Ending 26 January 2020.  Checked Twitter and Facebook.

*  Worked on AncestryDNA matches with common ancestors, added notes to about 5 of them and two ThruLines to RootsMagic.

*  Went in at 5 p.m. for dinner, watched news, read the paper, did the dishes.  Online at 6:45 p.m. to read, add to the Best Of, wrote the Tuesday's Tip post, and added content and sources from MyHeritage for Social Security Death Index for my tree.  Did the first 50 out of 3115.  

*  Added to the Best Of post, checked Facebook and wrote this post.  Genealogy today was 8.5 hours.

We went to a 50th anniversary party on Friday night and I didn't journal.  Another bad genea-boy day.  

1)  Friday, 24 January:

*  Dropped Linda at the Y, home to read, added to the Best Of post and noted that 52 Ancestors - Week 314: #525 Elizabeth (Wheeler) Fletcher (1664-1744) of Concord, Massachusetts posted.  Wrote RootsTech 2020 Free Livestream Schedule.

*  Picked her up and we went to 99 Cent Store.  Home by 10:30 with stuff.

*  Wrote New Records Available To Search This Findmypast Friday, 24 January 2020, and took my nap.

*  Had lunch, answered email, and wrote Genealogy News Bytes - 24 January 2020.

*  Wrote the SNGF post, and got the Ancestry and FamilySearch posts ready to go.  Messed up and   Added and Updated Ancestry.com Record Collections - Week of 19 to 25 January 2020 posted.  Oh well, not worth the time to correct it.  Forgot to check Twitter and Facebook.

*   We left at 3:45 p.m. for the 50th party, and had Mexican food, cake, champagne, and a good time.  Very nice setting on the bayfront, and interesting people to talk to.  Even a little genealogy talk.

*  Home by 7:45 p.m.  Finished up the FamilySearch post.  Added to the Best Of post, and checked Facebook.  Off to the family room to watch TV at 9:30.  Genealogy this day was 8.0 hours.

2)  Saturday, 25 January:

*  Dropped Linda at the Y, home to read, added to the Best Of post, and noted that Added and Updated Record Collections at FamilySearch.org - Week of 19 to 25 January 2020 posted.  Prepped for the SDGS RootsMagic Users Group.

*  Picked her up and home by 9:30.  Grabbed my papers and laptop and off to the RMUG at the San Diego FHC.  We had 8 attendees, and some good questions.  Home by 12:30 p.m.

*  Ate lunch, and took a long nap.  Online at 2:30 to note that Saturday Night Genealogy Fun -- Your Favorite Toys as a Child posted.  Checked Facebook and Twitter.  

*  Went in at 5 p.m. to eat dinner, read the paper, watch TV news, and wash dishes.  Online at 6:45 p.m. to read, add to the Best Of post, work a bit in AncestryDNA matches adding notes and one ThruLine to RootsMagic.  TreeShared 106 profiles, still more to do.  

*  Added to the Best Of post, checked Facebook, and wrote this post.  Genealogy today was 8.0 hours.

I could have worked on the guest list, or the GSMD application, or even the taxes, but followed a GBSO instead.  Drat - bad genea-boy today.  Fun, though.

*  Dropped Linda at the Y, home to read, added to the Best Of post, and noted that Treasure Chest Thursday -- 1744 Death Records for Samuel and Elizabeth (Wheeler) Fletcher in Concord, Mass. posted.  

*  Picked her up at 9:10 and we went to the store, and home by 10 a.m.  Answered email, and must have done something useful but don't remember what!  Took a nap.

*  Had lunch, online to add to the Best Of post, and wrote Seavers in the News -- Marian M. Seaver Dies in 1918 in Santa Cruz.  Worked on this family for awhile.  Then tried to find William Harvey Seaver's parents, and found a marriage of a William H. Seaver in 1845 in Boston.  Is it the guy I want?  I don't think so.  Added the new guy, found his wife's birth, first marriage, and death and will, and two hours went pfffft.  

*  Checked Twitter and Facebook, then worked in RootsMagic Web Hints for awhile.

*  Went in for dinner at 5:15, read the paper, watched TV news, and washed dishes.

*  Online at 7 p.m. to read, add to the Best Of post, and write the 52 Ancestors post.  Resolved 152 Ancestry Hints adding content and citations to RootsMagic.

*  Laid down for a nap but didn't, and left at 10:30 for my dental appointment.

*  Online at 6:30 to write the Wordless Wednesday post, and resolved 101 Ancestry Hints.

*  Went in at 8 p.m. to watch Finding Your Roots.  Online at 9 p.m. to add to the Best Of post, checked Facebook, and didn't journal.  Genealogy this day was 10.0 hours.

2)  Wednesday, 22 January 2020:

* Dropped Linda at the Y, home to read, added to the Best Of, and noted that Mama Lee and Lori Lee at Christmas 1978 -- Post 601 of (Not So) Wordless Wednesday posted.  Wrote RootsTech 2020 SLC Keynote Speakers and Entertainment Lineup and set it for later.  

*  Picked her up, and home to get the laundry going.  Reviewed the last two months for DNA Central, got the laptop going, laid down for a rest, had lunch, and left at 11:20 for the library for the CVGS DNA interest Group.  Had 12 including a reader from Pennsylvania visiting San Diego.  Demonstrated AncestryDNA matches and ThruLines.

*  Home by 3 p.m. to read, check Twitter and Facebook, sleepy but no nappie, worked in Web Hints to add content to the tree.  

*  Went in at 5:30 p.m. to eat dinner, read the paper, watch TV news, wash dishes and put out the trash.  

*  Online at 6:30 p.m. to add to the Best Of post, and wrote the Treasure Chest post.  Resolved 228 Ancestry Hints adding content and citations to the tree.

It's been three tumultuous years since Trump became President.  One more year - one more term?  Who knows?  Didn't journal on Sunday night because I worked late on genealogy.

1)  Sunday, 19 January:

*  Read emails and blogs, finished up the Best Of post, and started the Amanuensis post.  We left for church at 9:45 a.m., stopped at the grocery on the way home, and home by 11:45 a.m.

*  Finished up the Amanuensis post, then went in to watch football, eat lunch, read the paper, take a recliner nap, watch more football.

*  Online at 3:15 p.m. to note that Best of the Genea-Blogs - Week of 12 to 18 January 2020 posted.  Went back to watch the second game, we had dinner, and I read my book.

*  Online at 7 p.m. to read, then resolved 298 AncestryHints, and TreeShared 76 more profiles with the Ancestry tree.  all synced.  Checked Facebook, and answered email.  Genealogy this day was 4.5 hours.

2)  Monday, 20 January 2020:

*  Dropped Linda at the Y, home to read email and blogs, added to the Best Of post, and noted that   Amanuensis Monday -- 1788 Mortgage Deed of Simon Gates from Jonathan Bruce in Middlesex County, Massachusetts posted.  

*  Picked her up at 8:45 a.m. and home to get into Mondays With Myrt, and shared my Ancestry Collection Tool.  Wrote Genealogy Book Notice: "The Sterling Affair" by Nathan Dylan Goodwin.  Took my nap.

*  Online at 12:30 p.m. to eat lunch, add to the Best Of post, and wrote Monday Genea-Pourri - Week Ending 19 January 2020.  Checked Twitter and Facebook.

*  Worked on some RootsMagic Web Hints, matched some Family Tree folks, and then added two ThruLines to the RootsMagic tree.

*  Went in at 5 p.m. to eat dinner, watch TV news, read the paper, take out trash, and wash dishes.

*  Online at 6:30 p.m. to work on the Tuesday's Tip, then resolved 163 Ancestry Hints, adding content and sources to the RootsMagic tree.

*  Picked her up, and we went to the grocery store, home by 9:40 a.m.  Wrote New Records Available To Search This Findmypast Friday, 17 January 2020.  Sleepy, so took a nap.

*  Online at 12:30 p.m. to have lunch, then wrote Genealogy News Bytes - 17 January 2020.

*  Worked with RootsMagic Web Hints for awhile, finding missing surnames and BMD data, adding them to the RootsMagic tree with sources. 

*  Checked Twitter and Facebook.  Did some more in WebHints.

*  Went in at 4:45 p.m. to cook dinner, watched TV news, read the paper, and washed dishes.  

*  Online at 6:30 p.m. to read, wrote the SNGF post, wrote the Ancestry post, then resolved 107 Ancestry Hints, and TreeShared 124 profiles.  

*  Checked Facebook, added to the Best Of post, and wrote the FamilySearch post.  Didn't journal because of tiredness.  Genealogy this day was 9.5 hours.

2)  Saturday, 18 January:

*  Dropped Linda at the Y, then off to downtown Chula Vista for the men's breakfast.  Picked Linda up at 9:45 a.m. and we went to Walmart.  Home by 10:30.

*  Read email and blogs, added to the Best Of blog, and noted that Added and Updated Record Collections at FamilySearch.org - Week of 12 to 18 January 2020 posted - probably my longest post ever!  

*  Went in at 11:15 a.m. to get a recliner nap, had lunch, and online at 12:30 p.m. to fill out the Mayflower preliminary application, and emailed it to Ray.  Noted that Saturday Night Genealogy Fun -- Where Were Your Ancestral Families in the 1950 US Census? posted.  

*  Worked with RootsMagic Web Hints finding BMD data and missing names for tree people.  Checked Twitter and Facebook.  Worked in FamilySearch Family Tree adding Life Sketches to about 10 of my ancestors from the 52 Ancestors sketches.  Fixed several families too which had wrong parents for children or duplicate entries.

*  Went in at 5 p.m. to eat dinner, watch TV news, read the paper and wash dishes.  Finished the laundry.Online at 6:30 p.m. to add to the Best Of post,  and noted that Added and Updated Ancestry.com Record Collections - Week of 12 to 18 January 2020 posted.

*  Resolved 158 Ancestry Hints adding content and sources to RootsMagic, then TreeShared 131 profiles, leaving about 50 for Sunday.

*  Checked Facebook, added to the Best Of post, answered email, and wrote this post.  Genealogy today was 8.0 hours.

*  Dropped Linda at the Y, home to read email and blogs, added to the Best Of post and noted that   Treasure Chest Thursday - 1682 Marriage Record of Samuel Fletcher and Elizabeth Wheeler in Concord, Mass. posted.  Wrote Introducing the RootsTech 2020 Mobile App and set it for later.

*  Picked Linda up, and home to work on the bank accounts.  Got one entered into Money with no errors. Talked to Karen S about CVGS programs.   Laid down to nap. 

*  Up at 12:15, had lunch, added to the Best Of post, and wrote Seavers in the News -- Colonel J.T. Seaver Dies in Washngton DC in 1962.  Added that to RootsMagic and added two others too.

*  Checked Twitter and Facebook, then worked on getting Wordless Wednesday photos into Pinterest.  Did #600 down to about #400.  Have more to do!

*  Went in at 5:30 p.m. to eat dinner, watch TV news, read the paper, and wash dishes.

*  Online at 6:30 p.m. to work on the 52 Ancestors post, then worked in RootsMagic matching profiles to Family Tree, and shared info back and forth as needed. 

*  Added to the Best Of post, checked Facebook, and wrote this post.  Genealogy today was 9.0 hours.

I didn't journal last night because of the basketball game.  Still not sleeping well.

*  Picked her up and we went to her doctor and then the grocery store, home by 10:15 a.m.  Took my nap.

*  Had lunch, and online at 12:30 p.m. to read, answer email, and then wrote Genealogy News Bytes - 14 January 2020.   Printed off the CVGS newsletter master and went to the UPS Store a day late.

*  Checked Facebook and Twitter.  Added some Seever folks to the RootsMagic file from census and other records.  

*  Went in at 5:30 for dinner, watched TV news, read the paper, and washed dishes.

*  Online at 6:30 p.m. to write the Wordless Wednesday post and work a bit in RootsMagic Web Hints.  

*  Watched Finding Your Roots at 8 p.m. and then SDSU basketball - they won.  Checked Facebook and email and off to bed.  Genealogy this day was 7.0 hours.

2)  Wednesday, 15 January:

*  Dropped Linda off, home to read, added to the Best Of post, and noted that The Seaver Family Visits Fisherman's Wharf -- Post 600 of (Not So) Wordless Wednesday posted.  

*  Got the laptop ready, reviewed what I wanted to share at Research Group, and rested my eyes.  

*  Had lunch, and left at 11:20 a.m. for the library.  Moderated the Research Group with 16 attendees.  Lively!   Home by 2:30.

*  Exhausted so napped until 4 p.m.  Looked for something to blog about and then went in for dinner at 5:30 and watched TV news, read the paper, put out the trash and washed dishes.

*  Online at 6:30 p.m. to write the Treasure Chest post, add to the Best Of post, and wrote Mining the Connecticut Death Records Index for Ancestry Member Tree Persons.

*  Resolved 160 Ancestry Hints adding content and sources to profiles in RootsMagic.

Another all-genealogy day except for the nap and football at night.  I was having so much fun I forgot to go publish the CVGS newsletter.

*  Dropped Linda at the Y, home to read email and blogs, added to the Best Of post and noted that    Amanuensis Monday -- 1796 Deed of Simon Gates to Lucas Dunn in Worcester County, Massachusetts posted.

*  Picked her up and home by 8:55 a.m. to get into Mondays With Myrt.  Talked about the Alexa rankings for awhile.  also had good conversation about DNA and trees.  Tired, so took my nap.

*  Online at 12:30 p.m. to eat lunch, and write Where Are My Online Family Trees? and   Monday Genea-Pourri - Week Ending 12 January 2020.

Checked Twitter and Facebook.  Uploaded my GEDCOM to American Ancestrees which uses RootsFinder.  Attached the MyHeritage DNA matches to it.  I'm not sure what I can do with that.  There are some blog posts about it I think!

*  Went in at 5:15 for dinner, and we watched the LSU-Clemson game.  Read the paper, washed dishes.  Read my book.

*  Online at 7:30 p.m. to work on the Tuesday's Tip post but went in after 8 to watch the end of the game.  Finished the Patterson/Clinton book The President is Missing.  A great book with a realistic challenge and plenty of twists.  

*  Online at 9:20 p.m. to add to the Best Of post and check Facebook and write this post.  genealogy today was 8.0 hours.

Church and football and a little genealogy today, but not much.  Didn't sleep well again.

*  Read email and blogs, and off to church at 9:30 a.m. and home by 11:30.

*  Wrote the Amanuensis Monday post, then went in to watch football.  KC won 51-31 after being behind 24-0.  Read the paper, had lunch, took a recliner nap.

*  Online at 7 p.m. to read, edited the CVGS newsletter, and sent it to the email list, TreeShared 51 profiles with the AMT, and resolved 278 Ancestry Hints, but didn't add much to the database.  Checked Facebook, have a new Seaver friend, so figured out her family to some extent.  A distant cousin.

*  Added to the new Best Of post, answered email, and wrote this post.  Genealogy today was 5.0 hours.

Genea-Journal - Saturday, 11 January 2020

Football interfered with the genealogy today.  Sleep deprived because I woke up at 5 a.m.  Oh well.  Rebooted the cable box and that fixed connection problems.

*  Dropped Linda at the Y, home to read, added to the Best Of post, and wrote the Added and Updated Record Collections at FamilySearch.org - Week of 5 to 11 January 2020 post.

*  Picked her up and home by 9:30 a.m.  Wrote the Ancestry post.  Checked some AncestryDNA common ancestor matches.  Took a great two hour nap.

*  Had lunch.  Checked what I have for the Mayflower application.  Changed file names for about 50 in the Certificates file folder.

*  Went in at 2:30 p.m. to watch the NFC game, which SF won.  Got another nap, and read the paper.  Online at 4:30 to note that   Saturday Night Genealogy Fun -- Accentuate the Positive Geneameme 2019 and Added and Updated Ancestry.com Record Collections - Week of 5 to 11 January 2020 posted.

*  Went in at 5:30 to watch the AFC game, and cooked dinner.  Titans beat the Ravens.  

*  Online at 8:30 p.m. to add to the Best Of post, TreeShared 62 profiles to the AMT, checked Facebook, and wrote this post.  Genealogy today was 6.0 hours.

Genea-Journal - Friday, 10 January 2020

This was an all genealogy day in the cave, but we hasd computer and TV problems tonight.

*  Dropped Linda at the Y at 7 a.m., home to read, added to the Best Of post, and noted that 52 Ancestors - Week 312 #523 Martha (--?--) Peirce (1647-1698) of Watertown, Massachusetts posted.

*  Picked her up and we went to the grocery store, home by 9:35 a.m.  Worked on RootsMagic web hints for awhile.  Finisihed the laundry.  Took my nap.  

*  Had lunch, and online at 12 noon to write New Records Available To Search This Findmypast Friday, 10 January 2020 and then Genealogy News Bytes - 10 January 2020.  Took the Christmas tree down and put it away.

*  Checked Twitter and Facebook, and worked some more in Web Hints finding missing dates and places for selected tree persons.

*  Went in at 5 p.m. for dinner, watched TV news, read the paper, washed dishes, made the bed.  

*  Online at 6:45 p.m. to read, write the SNGF post, resolve about 40 Ancestry Hints, add to the Best Of post, checked Facebook, and wrote this post.  Genealogy today was 9.0 hours.

Genea-Journal - Thursday, 9 January 2020

Another all genealogy day in the genea-cave.  Didn't get a lot done, but made progress on several tasks.

*  Dropped Linda at the Y, home to read, added to the Best Of post, and noted that Treasure Chest Thursday - 1681 Birth Record of Martha Peirce (1681-1759) in Watertown, Mass. posted.  

*  Picked her up at 9:30 and we escaped Costco Island for less than $100.  Home by 10:30 a.m.

*  Wrote "Finding Your Roots" Season 6 Series Resumed on PBS and then   Seavers in the News -- Harriette M. Seaver Dies in 1916 in Eugene, Oregon and set it for later.

*  Took my nap, had lunch, and had to go down to church to pick up a form.  Answered email, added to the Best Of post, and worked a bit with WebHints for RootsMagic profiles without birth dates.  Solved a few challenges.

*  Checked Facebook and Twitter, and went in at 4:30 to make spaghetti and we ate after 5, watched TV, and read the paper, then did dishes.  

*  Online at 6:30 p.m. to read, wrote the 52 Ancestors post, worked on the CVGS Newsletter (90% done now!) and resolved 223 Ancestry Hints adding content and sources for some of them in RootsMagic.

*  Added to the Best Of post, checked Facebook, and wrote this post.  Genealogy today was 8.5 hours.

Genea-Journal - 7-8 January 2020

I missed again last night, bad boy, what should I do about it?  Time gets away sometimes.

1)  Tuesday, 7 January:

*  Dropped Linda at 7:30, home to read, added to the Best Of post, and noted that Tuesday's Tip: Use the 1910 United States Federal Census posted.  Picked Linda up and we went grocery shopping, and home by 9:45 a.m.

*  Wrote RootsWeb Mailing Lists Shutting Down on 2 March 2020, then checked out the new GenealogyBank obituary collection.  Lots to do there.  Took my nap.

*  Online at 1 p.m., had lunch, and wrote Genealogy News Bytes - 7 January 2020.  Checked Twitter and Facebook.  

*  Looked more at the obituaries, answered email, then went in for dinner, watched TV news, read the paper, and washed dishes.  

*  Online at 7 p.m. to write the Wordless post, looked for RootsMagic profiles without dates and added information for several families to the database.  Looked up and it was 9:30 p.m.  Added to the Best Of, and checked Facebook.  Genealogy this day was 9.0 hours.

2)  Wednesday, 8 January:

*  Dropped Linda at the Y at 7, home to read, added to the Best Of post, noted that Lori and OoHoo in July 1974 -- Post 599 of (Not So) Wordless Wednesday posted.  Picked up Linda and was home by 9:15 a.m.

*  Answered email, then wrote GenealogyBank Combines Their Extensive Obituary Resources.  Took a nap.  Had lunch. Printed off the CVGS papers.

*  Left at 11:20 a.m. for the library and the CVGS Board meeting.  Boaring as usual.  Home by 2 p.m. really tired.

*  Answered email, added to the Best Of post, checked Twitter and Facebook, and took another nap.  Up at 5 p.m. to eat dinner, watch TV, put out trash and wash dishes.  

*  Online at 6:30 to write the Treasure Chest post, and worked n the CVGS Newsletter.  Read email and added to the Best Of post, and did some more searching for folks in RootsMagic without dates.  Added dates/places for several profiles using RootsMagic Web Hints and Ancestry and MyHeritage  searches.

*  Added to the Best Of post, answered email, and checked Facebook, then wrote this post.  Genealogy today was 8.5 hours.

I spent most of Sunday watching football, and had a "normal" genealogy Monday.

1)  Sunday, 5 January:

*  Read email and blogs, wrote the Amanuensis Monday post and left for church at 9:45 a.m.

*  Home by 11:30 a.m., and watched football, read the paper, had lunch, took a recliner nap, and watched more football.

*  Online at 4:30 p.m. to note that Best of the Genea-Blogs - 29 December 2019 to 4 January 2020 posted.  Had dinner.

*  Online at 6 p.m. to add to the Best Of post, answered email, and then TreeShared 111 profiles.  Resolved about 185 Ancestry Hints, adding content and sources.

*  Checked Facebook.  Genealogy this day was 4.5 hours.

2)  Monday, 6 January:

*  Dropped Linda at the Y, home to read, added to the Best Of post, and noted that Amanuensis Monday -- 1779 Deed of Simon Gates from Samuel Conant Jr. in Worcester County, Massachusetts posted.

*  Picked her up and home by 8:55 a.m., and got into Mondays With Myrt but got no air time about what I wanted to discuss.  Maybe next week.   Wrote SDGS Annual Meeting and Seminar - Saturday, 18 January 2020 and took my nap.

*  Had lunch, and online at 1:15 p.m. to add to the Best Of post, and wrote Monday Genea-Pourri - Week Ending 5 January 2020.

*  Checked Twitter and Facebook.  Worked a bit with WebHints in RootsMagic.

*  Went in for dinner at 5:15 p.m., watched TV news, and read the paper, then washed dishes.

*  Online at 6:30 p.m. to write the Tuesday's Tip post, then worked on RootsMagic WebHints adding data to the RootsMagic tree.  

*  Added to the Best Of post, answered email, checked Facebook, and wrote this post.  Genealogy today was 10.0 hours.

I still type 2019 every time...do you?

*  Dropped Linda at the Y at 7:30 and off to my men's Bible study breakfast at 8.  Picked her up at 9:45 and home by 10 a.m.

*  Read email and blogs, noted that Added and Updated Record Collections at FamilySearch.org - Week of 29 December 2019 to 4 January 2020 posted and dozed off in the office chair for like 30 minutes.  

*  Finished reading and worked on DNA matches with common ancestors and added several lines to RootsMagic.  Had lunch.  Noted that Saturday Night Genealogy Fun -- Your 2020 Plans/Goals/Resolutions for Your Genealogy Research posted.

*  Worked some more on WebHints in RootsMagic for the Itlain folks, found more obituaries and transcribed them, and then worked on some census records for them.

*  Went in at 4:30 p.m. to watch football.  We had dinner, and after the Bills/Texan game switched to the Pats/Titans game.  Read the paper, did the dishes, etc.  Read my Patterson book.  Great game.

*  Online at 8:30 p.m. to add to the Best Of post, answer email, check Facebook, and wrote this post.  Genealogy today was 5.5 hours.

Finally back to my "normal" blogging routine after all of the extra posts this week and last.  Slept better last bnight too!

*  Dropped Linda at the Y to swim, home to read email and blogs, add to the Best Of post and note that 52 Ancestors - Week 311 #522 Joseph Peirce (1647-1713) of Watertown, Massachusetts posted.

*  Picked her up, and we went to Wal-Mart - found the peppermint candy she likes!  Home by 9:40 a.m.

*  Wrote New Records Available To Search This Findmypast Friday, 3 January 2020.  Answered email, and added to the Best Of post.  Took a good nap.

*  Up at 12:30, had lunch and worked on Genealogy News Bytes - 3 January 2020.  Cecked Twitter and Facebook.

*  Worked with some WebHints to add content and sources to the RootsMagic tree.  Found some Putman famlies and added them to the tree.

*  Went in at 5:15 p.m. to get dinner up, watch TV news, read the paper, and wash dishes.

*  Online at 6:45 p.m. to answer email, add to the Best Of post, and write the SNGF post.

*  TreeShared 100 RootsMagic profiles with the Ancestry tree, then worked a bit in the SSAC files, and wrote the FamilySearch post.  No Ancestry post again this week. 

*  Added to the Best Of post, checked Facebook, and wrote this post.  Genealogy today was 9.5 hours.

I was the blogging fool today.  Didn't do much else, it seemed.  Didn't sleep well overnight.

*  Dropped Linda at the Y, home to read email and blogs, add to the Best Of post, and noted that    Treasure Chest Thursday - 1702 Marriage Record of John Peirce and Elizabeth Smith in Watertown, Mass. posted.  Lay down but didn't nap.

*  Picked her up and we went to the grocery store.  Home by 9:40 a.m.

*  Started a blog post, then took my nap.

*  Had lunch and online at 12:30 p.m. to write Seavers in the News - Philanthropist Blanche (Ebert) Seaver Died in Los Angeles in 1994, then finished up and posted   Selected Genealogy Website Alexa Traffic Rankings - 2 January 2020.

*  Checked Twitter and Facebook, and went in at 5:30 p.m. for dinner, watch TV news, read the paper, put out the trash, and washed dishes.  

*  Online at 7 p.m. to add to the Best Of post, check email, update the profile and write the 52 Ancestors post.

*  Checked Facebook, and wrote this post.  Genealogy today was 10.0 hours.

This was another relaxing day here in the genea-cave, some blogging, some reading, some researching, some data entry, plus a nap and watched a football game.

*  Dropped linda at the Y (yes, it was open!), home to read, added to the Best Of post, and noted that   A Four Generation Maternal Line -- Post 598 of (Not So) Wordless Wednesday posted.

*  Picked her up, and home by 9:10 a.m.  Wrote 2020 Legacy Family Tree Webinars Series Announced - TechZone added and checked for new DNA matches.  Answered emails.

*  Got the laundry started, took my nap, had lunch and online at 12:30 p.m. to write Randy's Genealogy Activity Highlights for 2019.  Worked on Ontario births and deaths in RootsMagic.  Checked Facebook and Twitter.

*  Went in at 2:30 p.m. to watch the Rose Bowl game, read the paper, had dinner, and did the dishes.  Oregon won 28-27 - a good game.  Finished the laundry. 

*  Online at 6:30 p.m. to add to the Best Of post, write the Treasure Chest post, and resolved 253 Ancestry Hints adding content and citations to RootsMagic profiles.

*  Checked Facebook, added to the Best Of post, and wrote this post.  Genealogy today was 9.5 hours.
