My Genealogy Monday - 20 November 2017

Another full genealogy Monday with the usual tasks.  I need some excitement - a new ancestor would be nice!

*  Dropped Linda at the Y, home to read email and blogs, picked her up and we were home by 8:55 a.m.

*  Was able to get in the green room on Mondays With Myrt for a change, and the panel had a long and fruitful discussion about many topics.

*  Noted that Amanuensis Monday - Probate Records for Estate of John Plimpton (1708-1756) of Medfield, Mass. - Part 4 posted and wrote Good News for Suffolk County, Massachusetts Researchers after finding the missing John Plimpton document.

*  Took my nap, had lunch, and online at 1 p.m. to add to the Best Of post.  Wrote Monday Genea-Pourri after checking my DNA matches.  Answered email.

*  Worked in FamilySearch Family Tree matching some Seaver folks with RootsMagic, and adding events and sources to both.  Forgot to check Twitter and Facebook.  TreeShared the RootsMagic file.

*  Went in at 5:15 p.m. to eat dinner, watch TV news, read the paper, water the front plants, and wash dishes.

*  Online at 6:30 p.m. to read, add to the Best Of post, and write the Treasure Chest post.  Then checked for new AncestryDNA matches.  Worked in the Lincoln line a bit matching folks with FamilySearch Family Tree.

My Genealogy Sunday - 19 November 2017

It wasn't much of a genealogy day.  A little blogging, a little Hint entry, and that's it.  The Chargers won big, though.

*  Read email before church, left at 8:15 for the early service, and home by 9:55 a.m.  Watched the football game, took a nap, and read blogs on my phone.  Had lunch.  Came in at 12:30 to read email and blogs, and noted that Best of the Genea-Blogs - 12 to 18 November 2017 posted.

*  Back to the TV at 1 p.m. to watch the end of the Chiefas game and then the Chargers game.  Chargers beat Buffalo 54-24 and it wasn't that close.  The other three AFC West teams lost so we're tied for second, two back of KC.  Hope springs eternal.

*  Online at 4:30 p.m. to transcribe the Plimpton probate documents.  Went in at 5:30 p.m. to eat dinner, watch TV news, and wash dishes.

*  Online at 6:30 p.m. to read, wrote the Amanuensis post, and noted that Added or Updated Ancestry.com Databases - Week of 12 to 18 November 2017 and Added or Updated Record Collections at FamilySearch.org - Week of 12 to 18 November 2017 posted.

*  TreeShared, then worked Ancestry Hints for awhile, adding content and sources.  Checked Denmark census records again for the Hede/Stenger/Sorenson families without success.  Strange.

*  Checked Facebook, added to the Best Of post, and wrote this post.  Genealogy today was 4.0 hours.

My Genealogy Saturday - 11 November 2017

At the 11th minute of the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 2017 (Pacific Time) I was sitting on the throne at St. Andrew's Church in San Diego.  At that time in France I was sound asleep in Chula Vista.  Anyway, it was Veteran's Day.

*  Linda didn't go to the Y, so I read email and blogs, then packed up and left at 8:15 a.m. for the SDGS meeting.  Noted that Veterans Day 2017 - Honoring My Heroes posted.

*  Got there at 8:45 and Gordon brought his laptop and I used it for the 9 a.m. RootsMagic class.  We had 9 in attendance.  Only had 50 minutes, so reviewed the views, navigation, the menus, source citations, TreeShare and WebHints, and not much else.  Time flies!

*  Heard Jeanette's first talk about newspapers but was dozy, had a snack, and came home rather than stay for the second talk.  Home by 11:45 a.m., had lunch, watched football and dozed in the recliner.

*  Online at 2 p.m. to note that Surname Saturday - BALLARD (England to colonial Massachusetts) and Saturday Night Genealogy Fun -- Make an Ancestor's Timeline posted.

*  Added to the Best Of post, and wrote the Ancestry and FamilySearch posts for Sunday.  Worked on email, and checked Facebook. Watered the front plants.
