Genealogy Journal - 14 July 2009

Hard to believe that July is almost half over! It seems like just yesterday we got back from Jamboree, and now we're only 6 weeks away from leaving on vacation. We can hardly wait, but have Grandpa Camp for Lucas to survive first!

* On computer by 7:45, checked email, blogs and Twitter. Got cleaned up, swatted some flies, and wrote Lazy, Crazy, Hazy Days of Summer ... Our 1950's Vacations then Book Review: Crash Course in Family History by Paul Larsen, which I finished yesterday. I think that mine is the first review published.

* Had lunch (veggie beef soup, apple, choc pudding, cookies) and swatted flies...then decided to combine my Seaver, Buck, Vaux and Dill genealogy databases into my Master database so I can access all of it at once. Spent a lot of time merging spouses and removing duplicate Facts and Notes after it was done. Where did the time go?

* Went in at 5:15 to watch All-Star Game, ate dinner (Dinty Moore Stew and ice cream bar), and came into Genea-Cave at 7:15 to check email and GenealogyWise. Found someone had copied 80% of my book review post on GW on his own blog without any attribution. Complained and he fixed it, but I wrote a GW blog post anyway - Please avoid copyright and fair use abuses.

* Watched the end of the All-Star Game - then back online and wrote Genealogy Wise - One Week Later. Checked in on Facebook and then wrote this post.

Genealogy today was 10.5 hours - 2.0 hours reading everything, 2.5 hours writing blog posts, 5.0 hours working in FTM 16 merging 5 databases, and 1.0 hour on GenealogyWise.
