* Online to read, noted that Best of the Genea-Blogs - 25 July to 1 August 2020 posted. Checked Twitter and Facebook. Checked AncestryDNA matces (+20).
* Went in at 5:15 to finish dinner, watched TV news, washed dishes, and trimmed the rose bushes.

Genea-Journal - Monday, 9 March 2020
The morning plans were disrupted because DearMYRTLE had internet problems. So I worked on Web Hints a bit.
* Dropped Linda at the Y, home to read, added to the Best Of post and noted that Amanuensis Monday - 1769 Codicil to Will of William Richman (1694-1769) of Hilperton, Wiltshire posted. Picked her up and home by 9 a.m.
* Tried to get into Mondays With Myrt but her internet was down, so they canceled it. Worked in Web Hints instead, adding content and sources to the database. Napped a bit at 11:45.
* Had lunch, wrote Monday Genea-Pourri - Week Ending 9 March 2020, printed off the CVGS newsletter master, and went down to the UPS Store to print my copies and mail them out. Home by 2:30 p.m.
* Checked Twitter and Facebook, and then did the last bit of balancing the checkbook before taxes.
* Went in at 5 p.m. to cook dinner, we ate, watched TV, read the paper, and washed dishes.
* Online at 6:30 p.m. to read, answer email, add to the Best Of post, write the Tuesday's Tip post, and TreeShared 71 profiles. Did some more semi-random WebHints adding sources and content. Added the John Richman 1744 family to the MyHeritage tree to see if there are any DNA matches to that family.

Genea-Journal - Thursday, 14 March 2019
Pi day - enough said! Linda asked about it, I explained, 3.141589265+ and she didn't understand. This was a stay-at-home day, and I actually started on the taxes. Also did some fun genea-stuff.
* Dropped Linda at the Y, home to read email and blogs, noted that MyHeritage Releases Three Census Record Collections from Norway and Treasure Chest Thursday - 1736 Marriage Record of Joseph Colby and Abigail Warren in Amesbury, Mass. posted. Added to the Best Of blog.
* Picked Linda up and home by 9:15 a.m. Added to the Best Of post.
* Decided to start on the taxes - looked for my TurboTax for 2018 and it was nowhere to be found. Not where it Should be. Not anywhere. Checked the email and saw that I opted for the download instead of the CD. Wasted 45 minutes there! Got it installed, and got the income entered in except for the investments. Tried to download the investment dividend and capital gains data from the investment firm, and got some, but not others. Called the advisor who said "remember, we switched to another firm" for one account?" Finally entered all of the data (it wasn't hard - 5 entries). I really don't like the outcome here!
* Decided I'd had enough and wanted to have some fun. Wrote Seavers in the News - Effie E. Seaver Dies in 1930 in Delaware. Had lunch. Updated the Best Of and RootsTech posts. Added about 25 MyHeritage record matches to the RootsMagic database.
* Ancestry has free Ireland records this weekend, so I started using them for the Irish Seaver folks in my RootsMagic tree. Found a bunch more and entered about six families. Took an hour nap.
* Online at 4 p.m. to work some more on Irish Seavers, then checked Twitter and Facebook.
* Went in at 5 p.m. to eat dinner (corned beef and cabbage), watch TV, read the paper, and wash dishes.
* Online at 6:15 to work on the 52 Ancestors profile, and wrote the post. Answered email. Downloaded some Colby deeds from Essex County - nothing that helps with the Warren/Worthen quandary.
* TreeShared 199 profiles to sync the RootsMagic and Ancestry trees.
* Added to the Best Of post, checked Facebook, and wrote this post. Genealogy today was 8.5 hours.

Genea-Journal - Tuesday, 22 January 2019
This was almost an all genealogy day - we had to stop at the dentist to get Linda's temporary crown cemented again.
* Dropped Linda at the Y, home to read email and blogs, noted that Treasure Chest Tuesday - 1830 U.S. Census Record of Cornelius Feather Household in Salem, Mercer County, Pennsylvania posted, added to the Best Of post, and picked her up and home by 9:15 a.m.
* Did some work in MyHeritage Record Matches adding content to the RootsMagic tree. Tried to nap but only rested.
* We left at 11:10 a.m. for the dentist, and home by noon. Had lunch.
* Did some more work in the record matches, then wrote Genealogy News Bytes - 22 January 2019. Checked Twitter and Facebook, and added to the Best Of post.
* Rebooted the computer, then got into the Zoom meeting with Ancestry at 4 p.m. Afterward, worked with random folks in RootsMagic.
* Went in at 5:20 p.m. to eat dinner, read the paper, watch TV news, and did the dishes.
* Online at 6:30 p.m. to read, wrote the Wordless Wednesday post, and resolved about 400 Hints on Ancestry, adding content and sources. I will need to TreeShare soon!
* Went in at 8 p.m. to watch Finding Your Roots. Tough but rewarding research in China and Iran. Afterward, talked to Linda about her German, Norwegian, English and Irish families that crossed the oceans and how we don't know much about the journeys.
* Read email and blogs, checked Facebook, and wrote this post. Genealogy today was 9.0 hours.

Genea-Journal - Friday, 18 January 2019
Another pretty full day slaving away on genealogy on the old (and I mean old!) computer.

Genea-Journal - Thursday, 27 December 2018
Four more days in 2018. I had hoped to write 1,000 posts on Genea-Musings for 2018, but I'm going to fall about 8 short. Oh well. I've been slacking off a bit due to the holidays and life.

* Worked a bit in Geni adding family members to siblings of Linda's ancestors.
* We left at 10:30 a.m. for shopping at Costco, got out around $50, so had lunch with a hot dog and a churro. Home by 11:45 a.m.
* Wrote Seavers in the News - LeGrand Seaver Dies in 1953 in New York.
* Worked on the blog post Using SmartCopy Chrome Extension to Add Families to the Geni World Tree and then checked Twitter and Facebook.
* Added to the Best Of post, answered email, and thought about the 52 Ancestors post.

* Online at 6:45 p.m. to write the 52 Ancestors post, then worked in Geni adding family members to Linda's ancestors' siblings - usually just spouse and children for one generation. There are a lot more families, of course.
* Added to the Best Of post, checked Facebook, and wrote this post. Genealogy today was 9.5 hours.

Genea-Journal - Friday, 30 November 2018
11 months down, one to go in 2018. This was a rainy day in the morning and cleared in the afternoon. We got over 0.5 inches of rain, so we're almost "normal" on the year (since 1 October).
* Linda didn't go to the Y, so I read email and blogs, added to the Best Of post, noted that 52 Ancestors - Week 254: #379 Judith (Greenman) Card (1694-1786) of Rhode Island posted, and answered email. Wrote New Records Available To Search this Findmypast Friday, 30 November 2018.
* Worked in MyHeritageDNA matches adding notes to about 15 matches, identifying the matching chromosomes, and common ancestors if I could find them easily. Took a short nap.
* Had lunch, went to the grocery store, then online to match profiles to Family Tree, then wrote Genealogy News Bytes - 30 November 2018.
* Checked Twitter and Facebook. Deleted hundreds of old emails, especially if they contained attachments. My Google Drive is 98% full. Will probably opt for the 100 gb deal. In hindsight, probably should have retained the emails! Too late I think. Took a short nap. Wrote the Surname Saturday post.
* Went in at 5 p.m. to eat dinner, read the paper, watch TV news, and wash dishes.
* Online at 6:30 p.m. to read, wrote the SNGF post. Resolved about 250 Ancestry Hints, and TreeShared 140 RootsMagic profiles, have about 130 to go.
* Added to the Best Of post, answered email, checked Facebook, and wrote this post. Genealogy today was 10.0 hours.

Randy's Genea-Sunday and Monday - 4-5 November 2018
Some one forgot to journal last night. Oh well, did you miss me? It wasn't a big genealogy day.
1) Sunday, 4 November:
* Read email and blogs, then off to church at 9:40 a.m. and gave Maggie the Denmark records. Home by 11:20 a.m.
* Added to the Best Of post, noted that Added and Updated Ancestry.com Record Collections - Week of 28 October to 3 November 2018 posted, and wrote the Amanuensis post.
* Went in at 12:45 p.m. for lunch, then read the paper and watched football until 4:30. My Chargers beat Seattle 25-17.
* We went to dinner at Lolita's, and then shopped at the grocery store. Home by 6:45 p.m.
* Noted that Best of the Genea-Blogs - Week of 28 October to 3 November 2018 posted, then wrote a post for Monday. Speed-watched three of the MyHeritage LIVE 2018 Conference videos. Couldn't find the others on Facebook. Interesting.
* Went in at 10 p.m. to read, then to bed. Genealogy this day was 5.0 hours.
2) Monday, 5 November:
* Dropped Linda at the Y, home to read, and picked her up at 8:50 a.m.
* Home by 9:05 to join Mondays With Myrt in progress. After 10:45, noted that Amanuensis Monday - 1816 Deed of Robert Jefts to Zachariah Hildreth Jr. in Townsend, Mass. posted. Added to the Best Of post. Took my nap.
* Online at 12 noon to read, noted that How Accurate Is an Ancestry Quick and Dirty Tree? posed. Wrote Monday Genea-Pourri - 5 November 2018.
* Checked Twitter and Facebook. Watched another MyHeritage video. Added to the Best Of post, and answered email.
* Went in at 5:15 to help with dinner, we ate, watched TV news, and read the paper, then washed dishes.
* Online at 6:30 p.m. to write the Treasure Chest post, then answered email and resolved over 400 Ancestry Hints (mainly Ignore them that don't add "good" information to profiles).
* Added to the Best Of post and wrote this post. Genealogy today was 10.0 hours.
