My genealogy Funday - 31 March 2013

I didn't do a lot of genealogy work today, but I did make it count!

*  Read email and blogs, and finished up the Best of the Genea-Blogs - 24 to 30 March 2013 post.

*  Went off to church for Easter services, talked to Paul A about his mother's ancestry, and to Maria M. about her Filipino ancestry.  After going shopping, we were home by noon.

*  Watched the NCAA game, ate lunch, finally online at 1 p.m. to read, then write three posts for the Chula Vista Genealogy Cafe.

*  Back to the TV at 3 p.m. to watch the NCAA game, read the paper, and take a nap.

*  Online briefly at 4:30 p.m. to check Facebook, tweak the Ancestry talk handout and presentation.  Went in to eat dinner, watch TV news and do the dishes.

*  Online at 7 p.m. to read, start the next Best Of post, work on a post for next week, then got immersed in Mary Jane Smith's family - found them in 1860 to 1910 census records, got all 11 kids, plus more data in Iowa Births and Marriages, Find A Grave, and Ancestry Member Trees.

My Saturday FunDay - 30 March 2013

This Saturday was full of the CVGS seminar and not much else.

*  Up early, read email and blogs, packed up the laptop and off at 8 a.m. for the Chula Vista Golf Course for the CVGS Seminar by CeCe Moore on DNA.

*  Seminar started at 9 a.m., I won 4 drawing prizes, nice lunch, sat with Bill in the morning, and Joan in the afternoon, and enjoyed CeCe's four sessions.  She knows her stuff!  The tablet ran out of juice after lunch - I left Evernote open and closed it down.  Big mistake.

*  Home by 4:15 p.m. to note that Surname Saturday - FREEMAN (England > Massachusetts) and Saturday Night Genealogy Fun - Create a Genealogical Proverb posted.

*  Sleepy, so went in to watch NCAA basketball, read the paper, take a nap and eat dinner.

*  Online at 6:45 p.m. to read, check Facebook and Google+, add to the Best Of post, did some more research on Richman descendants, and then did only 13 Find A Grave confirmations, but got about 60 sources added.  Wrote this post.

Genealogy today was 10.5 hours.

*  Worked for about an hour in the Find A Grave entries using MyHeritage Record Match - confirmed 30 entries, rejected one.  Added over 100 source entries today.  Wrote this post.

It was a busy genealogy day - did a presentation at CVGS and blogged a lot.

*  Read email and blogs, wrote (Not So) Wordless Wednesday - Post 249: Randy and DearMYRTLE at RootsTech.  Wrote FHISO and GEDCOM X Musings and set it for later in the morning.

*  Packed up at 11 a.m. and off to McDonalds for lunch, then the library to get books and go to CVGS meeting.  Got there at 11:30, and had the laptop set up by 11:45.  Got started about 12:40 p.m. and finished by 1:30 p.m. doing "Randy's Spring Break Vacation" with news of my research at the FHL and attending the RootsTech conference.

It was a stay-at-home and get things done day today - success!!

*  Read email and blogs, then wrote Tuesday's Tip - Watch RootsTech 2013 Videos.  Updated the geneablogger review post too.

*  Worked for several hours creating the RootsTech presentation for CVGS on Wednesday (they asked yesterday!).  Have about 50 slides, mostly pictures, then will show how to get the syllabus material and see the streaming video.

*  Went to the pharmacy and shopping with Linda at 12:30, and then to Costco for a Polish dog, and home by 2 p.m.

*  Wrote Good Genealogy News from RootsTech 2013.  Then added more content to the presentation, including photo captions.  Saved it to Dropbox and flash drive.  Watched Karen Clifford's talk.  Worked on the FS Family Tree a bit, fixed Martin Carringer's three wives, and more.

My Genealogy Funday - 25 March 2013

We returned from Salt Lake City on Sunday, and I dove right back into the genealogy pool.  It was a fun genealogy day.

*  After reading email and blogs, I updated my RootsTech 2013 Geneabloggers Review (Updated) post.  Before I left for my OASIS class, I noted that Amanuensis Monday - Probate Records of John Pray (1653-1733) of Smithfield, R.I. posted.

*  Left at 9:10 a.m. for Mission Valley, got there at 9:30, and welcomed my students at 10 a.m.  Did the 4th class and we finished early - they didn't have many questions or problems they wanted solved.  Strange!

*  Home by 12:45 p.m. after stopping for gas (15 gallons...) and read everything, checked Facebook, answered some email, and noted that Post RootsTech 2013 Musings posted.

*  Watched the Mondays with Myrt Hangout On Air and sorted out the papers and files and photos from the trip to the Family History Library.

*  Dug into the Hilperton parish records adding content and updated sources to my database.  Didn't upload the images yet.

*  Went in at 6 p.m. for dinner, read the paper, watch the news, and back online at 7 p.m.

*  Updated the Review again, then checked Facebook, did some more Hilperton sources, edited the source data for the different items on the film, and watched some of the streaming videos from Thursday and Friday that I missed. Wrote this blog post.

Genealogy today was 11.0 hours.

My Genealogy Funday - 18 March 2013

I can have fun almost any day, even without doing any database work at all.

*  Read email and blogs, then posted Zap the Grandma Gap Power-Up Workbook Available for RootsTech!

*  Packed up the flash drive and handouts and laptop, and off to Mission Valley for the OASIS Class 3, with all 13 of my students.  Started at 10 a.m., over at 12:30 p.m.

*  Home by 1 p.m. to read, eat lunch, and note that Amanuensis Monday - Probate Records of Abraham Tucker (1653-1725) of Dartmouth, Mass. posted.  Wrote and posted My 23andMe DNA Test Results - Post 3: Finding Matches and Seeing Connections.

*  Watched the Mondays with Myrt webinar at the FHC - good one!  Then got out the checklist and got everything in the laptop.  Realized that I didn't have my papers from the 2012 FHL visit with notes on them, so looked for them.  Finally found them in a folder on my desk - who knew?  Gotta do better...  Found some copies of deeds and Knapp records too - have to scan and source those.

*  Went in at 5 to eat dinner, wash the dishes, water the front plants, fill the feeder, and recalled I had a 6 p.m. webinar to watch.  Caught the last 15 minutes of it.  Added the new files (to-do list, syllabus, etc.) to the laptop from Dropbox.

*  Checked Facebook, wrote RootsMagic Treasure Hunt Clue #11 and then wrote the goodbye post for Tuesday.  Captured some Mass town record images for the Phillips and Buck lines on Ancestry.  Renamed the files and saved them to the "To be filed" folder.

*  Answered some email and wrote this post.

My Genealogy Funday - 17 March 2013

St. Patrick's Day and someone forgot to wear green...but then I have no Irish ancestors since 1600 or so!  True confession - I forgot and so did Linda - we greeted at church and weren't wearing green.  Or orange...

*  Read email and blogs, noted that Census Whacking for St. Patrick's Day posted.  Finished up the Best Of post.

*  We went off to church at 9:20 a.m. to greet, then afterwards talked to John C for awhile about his latest Ancestry excursions.

*  Home by 11:30 a.m. to read, then edited the two remaining OASIS presentations and handouts and got them in PDF and on the flash drive and Dropbox.  Noted that Best of the Genea-Blogs - 10 to 16 March 2013 posted.

*  Checked out some of the DNA results again while answering email.

*  Barbara called at 2 and we finally decided to go to dinner at the Galley at 3.  We had a nice dinner, but not corned beef and cabbage - that started at 4 and we didn't wait.  Jean asked about her genealogy, and mentioned a cousin had found something but she didn't know what.  I told her I could probably find some records, but finding her parents townlands was probably harder.  She knew County Roscommon.  We had a nice dinner, and topped it off at Coldstone for an ice cream.

*  Home to clean out the car, bring in the suitcases, and I watched the NCAA bracket show on TV.  Online at 6 p.m. to read, then wrote two Amanuensis posts for Mondays, checked Facebook, and decided to look for Jean's family's records.  Found 1910, 1920, 1930 and 1940 census records, her father's death and SS index record and his WW I draft registration card.  Then checked Member Trees and there were 10 with info about the family.  Looked at the one with the most sources/documents, and captured family group sheets that took her ancestry back two more generations from her parents.  Checked FamilySearch records for San Francisco and found the marriage license and certificate for Jean's parents, but they revealed very little.  I need to find obituaries that might tell more.  Saved some of the documents to a file folder, and saved the family group sheets to Evernote as an entire page, then to the file folder.

*  That spent the evening so I didn't do any database work today.  I have OASIS on Monday morning, then will spend the afternoon getting everything together for the trip to RootsTech and the FHL.  May catch some webinars also on Monday.

Genealogy today was 6.5 hours.

My Genealogy Funday - 16 March 2013

Just a typical Saturday - genealogy meeting, blogging, reading, researching, playing ...

*  Read email and blogs, packed up the laptop and left at 8:15 a.m.

*  Got to UCSD by 8:45 a.m., sat in on the DNA SIG, which was unexciting.  Found out that Ysearch.org is down for some reason.  Greeted Denise as she came in, and introduced her to Jean, then took her in so she could get set up.  Gary did it...then Denise did a great job with her Preserving the Past talk.  Well received, lots of audience interplay.

*  Home by 12:45 p.m. to read, noted that Surname Saturday - BANGS (England > Massachusetts) and Saturday Night Genealogy Fun - Lunch With your Fearless Female posted.

*  Figured out how to get PDFs into iBooks on the iPhone and into the Adobe Reader app on the tablet.  Copied several books and my research lists over.  Played with the tablet camera too to see how to make it work with Dropbox, etc.  I'll have 3 cameras at SLC - the digital, the iPhone and the tablet.  May use the tablet as primary in the FHL.   May also use it for notes in RootsTech sessions.

*  Went in for dinner at 5 p.m. to eat, watch TV, read the paper.  Back online at 6:30 p.m. to read, then wrote the SDGS program review and the SNGF post for next week.  I'm set for my meme posts for next week now while we're away.

*  Worked in the database finding dates, places and sources for Cole folks.  Checked Facebook, added to the Best Of post, and wrote this post.

Genealogy today was 9.0 hours.

My Genealogy Funday - 15 March 2013

Had a good genealogy day, even met a GM reader for lunch!  But no research.

*  Read email and blogs, then wrote Follow-Up Friday - Helpful and Useful Reader Comments to Genea-Musings Posts and Review: Legacy QuickGuide on Land and Property Records and set it for later.  Wrote a review for next week too.

*  Left after 11 a.m. for lunch with reader Rick in Old Town at La Pinata.  Great conversation, and decent food.  That was fun!

*  Home by 1:30 p.m. to read, then downloaded RootsTech syllabus material and wrote RootsTech 2013 Syllabus Material is Online.

*  We left at 5 p.m. for dinner at El Pollo Loco, and home by 6:15.  I tuned in to Caroline's Hangout On Air on the laptop, but it was almost over.  Watched the SDSU game - we lost to UNM.

*  Online again at 7 p.m. to read, wrote the Saturday blog posts and another post for next week, then searched for my flash drives and reviewed their contents.  Unloaded lotsa crap out of the laptop bag too, especially coins.  I figure I'll use bills for copy machines at the FHL.  Gotta find my copy card, though!

*  Answered email, wrote Free eBook of Descendants of Robert the Bruce, checked Facebook, added to the Best Of post, and wrote this post.

Genealogy today was 9.0 hours (including lunch).

My genealogy Funday - 14 March 2013

Another day, and only 7 more until RootsTech begins.  Gotta get things done around here by Monday.

*  Read email and blogs, wrote Treasure Chest Thursday - 1870 U.S. Census Record Devier Smith Family and then My RootsTech 2013 Checklist and set it for later.

*  Worked on the To Do List for several hours - adding items from the database, and then finding the film numbers for them and putting all of that in the list.  I think I'll print out just the FHL items when I get it done.

*  While doing the To Do List, managed to find the Vaux/Vous passenger list from 1932 in an Ancestry Member Tree.  Cool...low hanging fruit if I only would wander into the orchard once in awhile!  Downloaded it, added the event, source and media to James Vaux, and wrote Finding Genealogy Gems in Ancestry Member Trees.

*  Made one last review at the 2012 taxes, edited some entries a bit, printed out the MSMoney Medical and Charitable categories and put them in the folder, then filed the taxes electronically.  Easy peasy.  Hope they're right.

*  Went in for dinner at 5:15 p.m., read the paper, watched TV news, and went out and mowed the back yard weeds/lawn.  Whew...growing since October, I think.

*  Online again at 7 p.m. to read, answer some email, check Facebook, and work in the database adding content and sources from a number of databases.  Got through Conklin.

*  Added to the Best Of post and wrote this post.

Genealogy today was 9.0 hours.

My genealogy Funday - 13 March 2013

The best thing about today was the CVGS Research Group meeting - other than that, it was normal blogging and not much else!

*  Read email and blogs, wrote (Not So) Wordless Wednesday - Post 247: A Four Generation Seaver Photo and then CGSSD Meeting on Saturday, 16 March Features Denise Levenick.

*  Packed up my laptop and the projector and went to lunch at McDonalds, then to the Chula Vista library for the Research Group meeting.  Got set up in the auditorium by 11:45 a.m., and chatted with the early birds.  We had 18, and started about 12:05 p.m.  I described most of it in Education, Collaboration, Crowd-sourcing and Cat-herding at CVGS Today.

*  Home by 2:30 p.m. to write that up, then was reading blogs and things and fell asleep at the keyboard again.  It's very peaceful in the Cave...scares the hell out of Linda when I don't answer and she sees me hunched over.

*  Went in for dinner at 5 p.m., watched TV news, read the paper, put out the trash and washed dishes until 7 p.m.

*  Online to read, add to the Best Of post, wrote three posts for the Chula Vista Genealogy Cafe bog, and wrote three for Genea-Musings for next week.

*  Answered some email, did a little research to find Edwin Johnston's info (can't find him after 1870), then looked at a new website.  Wrote this post.

Genealogy today was 8.0 hours.

My genealogy funday - 12 March 2013

We leave for Salt Lake City in one week - I guess I'd better start banking some blog posts!

*  Read email and blogs, wrote Tuesday's Tip - Find New Hampshire Records at FamilySearch.  Worked on and posted My 23andMe Test Results - Post 2: Chromosome Views UPDATED! but made an error, an assumption, and quickly corrected it after Blaine and Brian told me about it.

*  Answered some email, and worked most of the afternoon connecting to distant cousins on 23andMe and FTDNA.  Added my ahnentafel list and to-do list to Evernote.  Worked in FTB a bit, tried to upload a new file to MyHeritage and it would let me do only 250 persons.

*  Went out at 4:15 p.m. to mow the front lawn, then watered the plants.  Tired!  Came in for dinner, watch TV, read the paper, do the dishes, and update the tablet while Linda did her email on the desktop.  also updated the laptop, and added Evernote to it.

*  Online at 7:15 p.m. to read, check Facebook, watch Caroline's Evernote HOA, and then did 25 Find A Grave confirms from the MyHeritage Record Matches.  Down to 264 to do.  Added about 60 source citations.  Added to the Best Of post and wrote this post.

Genealogy today was 9.5 hours.

Genealogy Funday - 11 March 2013

We had a great OASIS class on Beginning Computer Genealogy today, and I got the taxes done!  Yippee. Whew!

*  Read email and blogs, and noted that Amanuensis Monday - 1853 New York Deed of Heirs of James Vaux to William Bennett posted.

*  Packed up the laptop and the class handouts, and the flash drive, and off after 9 a.m. to Mission Valley for my OASIS class.  Got there at 9:30, got set up, and 12 of the 13 students showed up this week.  They sat in the same places...I appreciate that, since I don't know their names yet.  Demonstrated RootsMagic (navigation, then a new database, with sources), LearnWebSkills.com (an online genealogy practice site), Ancestry.com (trees and searches), in addition to my presentation about software and online sites.

*  Home by 1 p.m. to read, note that What I Hope to Hear at RootsTech 2013 posted, and wrote Dear Randy - Two Names, Two Birth Records for One Child? Or Two?

*  Went in at 2:30 p.m. to watch TV, and take a nap.  Phone woke me at 3, so came back to the computer and worked on the taxes for 2.5 hours.  Hardest part is adding up and entering dividends and capital gain numbers (and entering individual transactions for capgains).  Done!  Money back!  Need to review again before I send it in.

*  Went in at 5:30 p.m. for dinner, watched TV news, read the paper, and did the dishes.

*  Online at 7 p.m. to add to the Best Of post, answer email, check Facebook, watch a bit of Pat's HOA today, then settled in to add Find A Grave data to the database using Record Matches on MyHeritage.  Confirmed or rejected 48 matches (down to 279) and added about 80 source citations.  Reviewed CVGS Board minutes, then wrote this post.

Genealogy today was 8.0 hours.

*  We left for church at 9:30 a.m., home by 11:45 a.m. after sampling goodies in the family life center.  Skipped lunch because of that!

*  Worked capturing more Canada census records on LAC, and crafted source citations for James Kemp and Abraham Kemp entries.  Still have Sovereen and Putman to do.

*  Went in at 2:30 p.m. to watch golf, then baseball, and had an hour long nap while reading the paper.

*  Online again at 4:30 p.m. to answer email, start the next Best Of post, and do more source citations in the database.

Genealogy Fun on 9 March 2013

This was a very busy genealogy day...and I had fun.

*  Read email and blogs, noted that Surname Saturday - LNU (colonial Massachusetts) posted.  Packed up the laptop and off to the SDGS meeting at 9 a.m.

*  Got there by 9:30 a.m., talked to folks, saw Del's excellent presentation, grabbed some snacks, and got my laptop set up, mike on the lapel, etc.  My talk started at 11:30 and went one hour.  The audience was great.

*  Home by 1:15 real tired, noted that Saturday Night Genealogy Fun - A Fearless Female Blog Prompt posted, and went in to watch the Aztecs game.  Took a short nap, and they lost to Boise State.  Drat.

*  Back online at 2:45 p.m., remembered that I had to publish the CVGS Newsletter, so printed off the copy, made the labels, and off to the UPS Store to fight the copy machine (3 paper faults today, then ran out).  Took the mailers to the post office and home by 4 p.m.

Genealogy Fun on 8 March 2013

Another week gone by, but Saturday became more important...

*  Read email and blogs, and was working on Follow-Up Friday - Helpful/Interesting Reader Comments when I got an email saying the SDGS speaker couldn't come on Saturday and if I could do a presentation.  I said yes.  Finished up the blog post.

*  Tuned into DearMyrtle's Legacy webinar on blogging - and enjoyed it.

*  Decided on the FamilySearch talk which I haven't given at SDGS (last time was NSDCGS in 2012), and edited the slides and then the handout.  Whew!  Eliminated some of the slides and added others.  About a 4 hour task.  Put them on Dropbox and the flash, and copied them onto the laptop.  Got batteries for the clicker, and the extended cable, and the 3-pronged extension.

*  Wrote Review: Legacy QuickGuide for Lineage Societies and Genealogy.

*  Linda came in and called dinner early, so we ate, watched TV and read the paper.

*  Online at 6:30 p.m. to work on the CVGS Newsletter - got it done.  Wrote the two Saturday posts.  Then worked on Find A Grave matches in My Heritage - down to 375 to confirm.  Added about 40 sources to the database today.

Checked Facebook, added to the Best Of post, and wrote this post.

Genealogy today was 11.0 hours.

Genealogy on 7 March 2013

This was another stay-at-home genealogy research and work day...where do the hours go?  I guess I play too much!  But i'm retired, so who cares?

*  Read email and blogs, wrote Treasure Chest Thursday - 1875 Kansas State Census Record for D.J. Smith Family, and then wrote Early Registration Deadline for NGS Conference in Las Vegas is 19 March.

*  Worked in the database a bit, finding records in Mass Town Records and adding sources and attaching media to ancestors.  Did maybe 5 or 6, but looked for 10 to 15 without finding them.  There are quite a few towns not in the Ancestry Town Records collection.

*  Researched and wrotWestminster, Massachusetts Town Records - What is Original?  Then figured out the WikiTree surname tagging deal and posted WikiTree adds Surname Tagging.

*  Answered some email, checked in on Facebook, and looked on 23andme to see if my results are in yet.  Nope.

*  Went in at 5 p.m. to read the paper, watch TV news, and eat dinner.

*  Online again at 7 p.m. to read, add to the Best Of post, and worked on the CVGS Newsletter - got it up to 80% done.

*  Worked in Find A Grave matches on MyHeritage and confirmed 15 more - added about 50 sources to the database today.  Wrote this post.

Genealogy on 6 March 2013

Another all genealogy day...with not much great accomplished.  Two weeks to RootsTech - guess I'd better start polishing up my To-do list.

*  After email and blogs, wrote (Not So) Wordless Wednesday - Post 246: A Wedding Day Photo.  After posting it, I found I'd already done it in #210.  nobody has noticed yet.

*  Wrote SDGS Meeting on 9 March Features Elyse Doerflinger and set it for later.

*  Gathered my CVGS Board stuff and left at 11 a.m. for McDonalds to eat lunch, the bank and the library for the CVGS Board meeting.  Sat in on John's roundtable for awhile too.  Board meeting was uneventful...

*  Home by 2:45 p.m. to read, research and write Sorting Out Primary and Secondary Information.

*  Went in at 4:45 p.m. to read the paper, take a nap, watch TV, eat dinner and put out the trash.

*  Online again at 6:45 p.m. to read, then joined Myrt's HOA in progress, and started on the CVGS Newsletter.  Got it about 25% done.

*  Started on Find A Grave matches in MyHeritage, got down to 401 to confirm.  This is going pretty fast now, since at least 2/3 of the matches I've already added.  Added content and sources to the database.

*  Checked Facebook, added to the Best Of post, and wrote this post.

Genealogy on 5 March 2013

I accomplished quite a bit genealogy-wise today - it was a full day at the keyboard...

*  Before I woke up, 136 Hours of Genealogy Classes Available on FamilyTreeWebinars.com posted.

*  While reading email and blogs, Creating the Land Record Source Citation in Family Tree Maker 2012 posted (written last night).

*  Saw the notice that FamilySearch Family Tree was open to everyone, so researched and wrote FamilySearch Family Tree Open for Everyone.  Then watched Myrt's HOA from last night.

*  Noted that the 23andMe site now had my Ancestral Composition data, so researched and posted My 23andMe DNA Test Results - Post 1.

*  Decided to do something else after all of that blogging, so I worked on the income taxes for several hours!  About 60% done.

*  Went in for dinner at 5:30 p.m. to read the paper, eat dinner and watch TV news.

*  Online at 6:45 p.m. to try to get into Myrt's Hangout on air but couldn't, so worked in the database - got through the Colby names, adding content and source citations.

*  Worked on finding the LAC Canada census images (only 1851, and 1881 on on LAC it seems.  Crafted source citation for 1881 census on LAC and added to the database.

*  Checked Facebook, added to the Best Of post, and wrote this post.

My genealogy day - 4 March 2013

This was a full genealogy day, but different from most of mine.

*  Read email and blogs, noted that Amanuensis Monday - 1845 Deed of Seth Sprague to Samuel Vaux in Aurora, N.Y. posted (written Sunday).

*  Packed up the laptop, the handouts, and turned off the computer (scheduled power outage from 9 a.m. to noon).  Left at 9:05 a.m. for the OASIS class in Mission Valley.

*  Got set up in new room - 14 seats instead of 10, got my roster, and 13 students came for the first session.  A lively group!  Started at 10:15, finished at 12:15 p.m.  Whew!

*  Headed for home, turned computer on, ate lunch, noted that RootsTech 2013 - Live-Streamed Sessions posted.

*  Gathered the CVGS papers and out the door at 1:45 p.m. for John's house and the Bylaws review committee.   That lasted until 4:45 and I had a little nap, I think...  Almost done with the task.

*  Home at 5 p.m. to eat dinner, then we took dinner to Lynn and alan, and stopped at Coldstone on the way home.

*  Home at 6:45 p.m. to read, check Facebook, answer emails, write a post for Tuesday, and do a little cleanup work in the database.  Looked for Newton births in Sutton MA where they should be, but they're not in the VR book.  Hmmm, wonder where they were born!

*  Added to the Best Of post, and wrote this post.

My genealogy days - 1 to 3 March 2013

We were away for friday and Saturday, so I didn't journal those days.  I had a good genealogy day today, though!

1)  Friday, 1 March:

*  Read email and blogs, and noted that Follow-Up Friday - Helpful and Useful Reader Comments posted.

*  Packed up the laptop, projector and other stuff for our road trip to Huntington Beach.  We left at 10:30 a.m., stopped in Laguna Beach for lunch at Johnny Rocket's, and got to the hotel by 2:15 p.m. in HB.

Went to Tami's at 4 p.m. to see the family, and after the girls gymnastics class, we went to the HB Pier for a walk and dinner at Ruby's out at the end of the pier.  It was a long walk for Linda with her walker.  Great food, but Linda and the girls got stuck in the elevator after dinner.    Back to Tami's to get the girls down, and we left at 9 p.m. for the hotel.

*  Checked my email and noted Review: Legacy QuickGuide on Researching Your Loyalist Ancestors posted on time in the afternoon.  Went to bed by 10:30 p.m.

Genealogy this day was 3.0 hours.

2)  Saturday, 2 March:

*  Up early for me, read email and blogs, and we had the hotel breakfast and left at 7:20 a.m. for the HB library for the OCCGS BASH.  Got set up, talked to a bunch of folks including Brian S, and did my two talks in the morning.

*  Ate lunch in the exhibit room, and talked to the exhibitors.  Attended the 3rd session on Maps, and pretty much slept through it - exhausted!  Browsed in the library during the 4th talk, and then read email and blogs, noting that Surname Saturday - COLE (England > Massachusetts) and Saturday Night Genealogy Fun - Social Media Genealogy Meme posted.

*  Linda picked me up at 3:30 p.m., and we headed for home.  She drove to San Clemente and I drove the rest of the way.  We stopped in National City for dinner at El Pollo Loco, and home by 6:15 p.m.

*  Got unpacked, and read email and blogs, added to the Best Of post, tried to add Find A Grave content and sources and was sleepy.  Went to be before 9 p.m. - unheard of!

Genealogy this day was 7.0 hours.

3)  Sunday, 3 March:

*  Read email and blogs, finished up the Best of the Genea-Blogs - 24 February to 2 March 2013 post.

*  We left for church at 9:30 a.m., visited Ruthie afterwards, and were home by 12 noon for lunch.  Wrote two CV Genealogy Cafe posts.

*  Decided to work in the New Hampshire Birth, marriage and death records on FamilySearch, adding content and sources for Seaver folks.  I had most of the marriages sourced already, and some of the births, but few of the deaths.  I'm only through the first 20 death listings, so there's more to do.  A pretty good showing - added over 140 source citations, found one female married name, and added some children of Seaver girls.

*  Went in to watch TV, read the paper, eat dinner, and wash the dishes.  Back online at 7:15 p.m. to read, then wrote two posts for Monday.  Checked in on Facebook and wrote this post.

Genealogy today 7.0 hours.
