Only two more weeks until RootsTech! Time sure flies when you're having fun and feverishly trying to meet deadlines. Cooler today, only 72 F here.
* Read email and blogs, then finished up the Best of the Genea-Blogs - 12 to 18 January 2014 post.
* We went off to church at 9:30 a.m. and home by 11:30 to read, answer some email, and then went in to watch the Broncos-Patriots game. Read the paper, took a nap, and Broncos won 26-16.
* Got the tablet updated with new RootsTech 2014 app, CamScanner and Flipboard. Deleted some apps also.
* Watched the 49ers-Seahawks game until 4:45 when we left for dinner at Outback. Watched it there too, and home in time to see the last two minutes. Hawks won 23-17. Linda was disappointed but knows nothing about her hometown players.
* Online at 7 p.m. to read, add to the Best Of post, check Facebook, and work in Ancestry adding content and sources. Found info for several folks with only a first name. Got through the Eu area.
* Wrote this post. Genealogy today was 4.5 hours.
Genealogy and family research are an obsession for me. Yea, verily, I am a Geneaholic!

My Genealogy Funday - 16 March 2013
Just a typical Saturday - genealogy meeting, blogging, reading, researching, playing ...
* Read email and blogs, packed up the laptop and left at 8:15 a.m.
* Got to UCSD by 8:45 a.m., sat in on the DNA SIG, which was unexciting. Found out that Ysearch.org is down for some reason. Greeted Denise as she came in, and introduced her to Jean, then took her in so she could get set up. Gary did it...then Denise did a great job with her Preserving the Past talk. Well received, lots of audience interplay.
* Home by 12:45 p.m. to read, noted that Surname Saturday - BANGS (England > Massachusetts) and Saturday Night Genealogy Fun - Lunch With your Fearless Female posted.
* Figured out how to get PDFs into iBooks on the iPhone and into the Adobe Reader app on the tablet. Copied several books and my research lists over. Played with the tablet camera too to see how to make it work with Dropbox, etc. I'll have 3 cameras at SLC - the digital, the iPhone and the tablet. May use the tablet as primary in the FHL. May also use it for notes in RootsTech sessions.
* Went in for dinner at 5 p.m. to eat, watch TV, read the paper. Back online at 6:30 p.m. to read, then wrote the SDGS program review and the SNGF post for next week. I'm set for my meme posts for next week now while we're away.
* Worked in the database finding dates, places and sources for Cole folks. Checked Facebook, added to the Best Of post, and wrote this post.

My genealogy funday - 12 March 2013
We leave for Salt Lake City in one week - I guess I'd better start banking some blog posts!
* Read email and blogs, wrote Tuesday's Tip - Find New Hampshire Records at FamilySearch. Worked on and posted My 23andMe Test Results - Post 2: Chromosome Views UPDATED! but made an error, an assumption, and quickly corrected it after Blaine and Brian told me about it.
* Answered some email, and worked most of the afternoon connecting to distant cousins on 23andMe and FTDNA. Added my ahnentafel list and to-do list to Evernote. Worked in FTB a bit, tried to upload a new file to MyHeritage and it would let me do only 250 persons.
* Went out at 4:15 p.m. to mow the front lawn, then watered the plants. Tired! Came in for dinner, watch TV, read the paper, do the dishes, and update the tablet while Linda did her email on the desktop. also updated the laptop, and added Evernote to it.
* Online at 7:15 p.m. to read, check Facebook, watch Caroline's Evernote HOA, and then did 25 Find A Grave confirms from the MyHeritage Record Matches. Down to 264 to do. Added about 60 source citations. Added to the Best Of post and wrote this post.

My genealogy Wednesday - 21 November 2012
The grandgirls came today, so genealogy was limited to reading and just a little database work.
* Read email and blogs, then noted that (Not So) Wordless Wednesday - Post 232: Aunt Emily in 1960 posted, and later that Exploring RootsMagic 6 - Post 2: Online Publishing posted.
* Started work on the third RootsMagic post but Tami and the girls came at 11 a.m. We went to lunch at Lolita's because Tami had to work in Mission Valley at 1 p.m. I got them home, and went off to the library to transfer the CVGS projector back to Gary at the Computer Group meeting.
* Home by 1 p.m. to get the Exploring RootsMagic 6 - Post 3: My RootsMagic Family Tree Website post finished and set for later. Updated a lot of apps on the Galaxy including Ancestry.com, and tested it.
* Audrey couldn't nap, but I did from 2 to 3 in my chair. She happily played while I snored. Played with both girls for awhile, and Lolo helped me weed the front plants a pit.
* I came in at 5 p.m. and we went to El Pollo Loco for dinner. The girls eat really well!
* Home at 6:30 p.m. to watch TV, read the paper, play with the girls, tend to Linda's toe, and get the girls in the shower. Tami came home, and the girls went to bed easily at about 8:30.
* Read email and blogs, added to the Best Of post, checked Facebook, checked some boxes in RootsMagic to include Events in the online publishing, confirmed another 40 SSDI entries using the MyHeritage list and adding sources when necessary. Wrote this post.

My genealogy day - 21 August 2012
I spent most of the day doing genealogy things, and then we went to the Padres game.
* Read email and blogs, then wrote Tech Tuesday - Ancestry.com's Android App, then All States in 1940 U.S. Census Now on FamilySearch. Worked in the Ancestry tree also trying to figure out what showed up in the App. Synced the AMT to FTM 2012 also, and edited the census master sources, and synced again.
* Worked in the database adding media items to the ancestors - got back into the 1700s and found some records in Mass. Town Records on Ancestry. Got intrigued by the John Phillips - Hannah Brown marriage, and wrote Having Fun in the Summertime - is the name Brown?
* We left at 4:50 p.m. for the trolley, had dinner at the Tin Fish, and got into Petco Park by 6:20 p.m. Padres won 7-5 in 10 innings - we left after 9 innings at 10:35 p.m. Trolley finally came at 11:15 and we were home by midnight.
