Randy's Genealogy Day - 1 January 2011

We returned on Thursday from our 11 day sojourn to wet parts of California to find that Chula Vista had been wet too - 5 inches of rain in December (that's half of the yearly total).  I spent Thursday night digging out of my email and Google Reader piles, and then worked most of Friday on blog posts and database things, then we went out for the church group progressive dinner.  We left early and were home by 11:30 p.m. on NY Eve...and I slept through the ball falling.  Today was a fairly full genealogy day...

*  Read email and blogs, wrote 2011 Genealogy Goals and Objectives and then wrote Saturday Night Genealogy Fun - Your Very Best 2010 Research and set it for early afternoon.

*  Got cleaned up, answered some email, did some research for a future post, and wrote a post for Sunday.  Had lunch, worked a bit in the database, got the photos off the cameras and went in to watch the Rose Bowl at 2 p.m.

*  Back at halftime to read everything, and back to the game, but napped through the last 5 minutes.  Had dinner, and did some computer things for Linda.

*  Wrote two CVGC posts, checked in on Facebook, compacted the database file, and I'm done, I think.

Genealogy today was 7.5 hours - 1.0 hour doing email, 0.5 hour reading blogs, 3.5 hours writing blog posts, 1.5 hours working in the database, and 1.0 hour checking online databases.
