Randy's Genealogy Day - 6 August 2010

A terrible genealogy day - a car emergency in the morning and the Padres lost, and I didn't get much genealogy work (or play) done.

* Read email and blogs, then researched and wrote Searching the Wiki - Post 2. Linda called to say that the Lincoln was acting strangely with the electronics, so she brought it home.

* Got cleaned up, and left at 10:15 AM for the car dealer in Mission Valley. Went to lunch at the nearby brewery (really cute waitress, great cheeseburger!) and back to dealer - they need to keep it over the weekend. Got regular maintenance done, plus new tires, and needs a big part. Drove a free rental car home.

* Home by 2 p.m., read everything, wrote Acquires ProGenealogists, Inc. and worked in and my database for awhile. Wrote Family Tree Maker 2011 Announced before dinner.

* Left at 5:30 p.m. for dinner at Lolita's and then shopping at Ralph's. Home to watch Padres game with Snakes - Pads lost 2-1.

* Back online at 9:15 PM, worked on CVGS Newsletter, checked Facebook and wrote this post.

Genealogy today was 5.0 hours - 0.5 hour doing email, 0.5 hour reading blogs, 2.0 hours researching and writing blogs, 1.0 hour working in my database, and 1.0 hour on CVGS Newsletter.
