Genealogy Journal - 12/29/08

The geneaholic is back in full-time genealogy action and ready to roll. Tami and her daughters are here today and the next two days, so my genealogy effort will be hampered by the enjoyable task of playing with and caring for Lolo and Audrey.

I was on the computer by 9 a.m., read my email and blogs, then posted Forensic Genealogy Strikes Again after reading the articles and Colleen's and Sharon's web sites. I worked on the post How did I do on 2008 goals? for awhile, and finished it later in the afternoon. After answering several emails, and checking in on Facebook, I worked a bit on my column for January and got it into editable shape. I got cleaned up, and posted some jokes on Randy's Busy Life to clean up my email list, then had lunch at home. I edited the column a bit, and had to take care of Audrey for awhile, which turned into the rest of the afternoon (including a short nap). We went out to dinner at Chick-fil-A with Tami's friends, and didn't get home until 7:30. I helped with Lolo in the bath, and was on the computer by 8:15 p.m. I checked email, blogs, Facebook and then uploaded my Christmas pictures to the computer. Then I worked a bit on my Project L database, inputting data I found previously and information from my friend. After that, this post and I'm going to call it a night.

Genealogy today was 6.5 hours - 1.0 hour doing email, 0.5 hour reading blogs, 1.5 hours writing blog posts, 0.5 hour on Facebook, 1.5 hours writing my column, and 1.5 hours on Project L.
