Genealogy Journal - 04/24/08

Not much genealogy effort today due to circumstances beyond my control. I did post about the BIGRA tea on Saturday and posted my second musing on "The Pace of Genealogy Research," but that was the extent of any real genealogy effort.

I went to the doctor today for my regular checkup and found that I'd lost 4 more pounds and my blood pressure and cholesterol were pretty good (drugs work well!). Then I went to the County Clerk's office for two death certificates, McDonald's for lunch, I picked up George for our weekly walk at the bayfront (sunny, 67 F, a little wind), the bank, and then the pharmacy before I got home at 1:30. I read my email and blogs and sent the images for my friend that I helped yesterday. I read some political stuff, but not much else before I went in to read the paper and take a nap before we went to the Padres game at 5. We lost 1-0... words can't express my frustration!

Genealogy today was all of 2.5 hours - 0.5 hours reading and sending email, 0.5 hour reading blogs, 1.0 hour blogging and 0.5 hour at the County Clerk getting certificates. Maybe I'll have more time tomorrow.
