I wonder why I've been using the date standard of 05/20/09 rather than the date standard 20 May 2009 over the last 18 months? Hmmm, just saw it and knew I'd been doing it wrong for a long time.
Was up really early today for no good reason, so had an early start on email and Twitter and reading blogs. Posted Google Options and then went to work on Family Photographs - Post 56. I'm wondering if I have the right family in these photos. I'll have to check the photos on the album pages again and other photos in my collection. Did some reading on Twitter and Facebook and then testing on Ancestry Card Catalog before leaving at 11:20 a.m. for lunch at McDonalds and then to the library for the CVGS Computer Group meeting. I was home by 2 p.m.
I read everything, then worked on Finding and Using the Ancestry Database Card Catalog and soon after about the Free Footnote Annual and/or Lifetime Subscriptions. Received an email saying that this might be illegal - like a chain letter. Hmmm, other companies have used free subs to entice people to invite other people to join. No one's twisting their arm. At 3:45, I went in for my nap and then we went out to dinner with friends. We were home by 7 p.m., and I put the trash out and watered the front gardens, then watched the Padres game while reading my Dan Brown book. Finished the book just before the Pads won 2-1 over the Giants. Then into the genea-cave for one more spin around the genea-blogosphere, twitterville, Facebook city, and this post.
Genealogy today was 7.0 hours - 0.5 hour on email, 0.5 hour reading blogs, 1.0 hour on Twitter and Facebook, 3.0 hours writing blog posts, and 2.0 hours on CVGS activities.
