I completed two major tasks today but still have several major tasks remaining this week, but it sure feels good to get some of the items checked off the to-do list.
I read email, blogs and Twitter and posted Happy Mothers Day!! before going off to church at 9 a.m. I was home by 11 a.m., and worked on the CVGS newsletter for an hour before printing out the black/white version and going down to the UPS Store to print the mail copies. Shirley and Virginia were there, but the copy machines had problems, so we ended up printing black/white on the color machine. Then we had lunch at the Chinese place in the same strip mall. Good conversation and food. I was home by 2 p.m.
While I was away, the Best of the Genea-Blogs was posted (I wrote it last night and added one item this morning). When I got home, I worked on the color newsletter version which has two more pages, all on computer things. Got it almost done before we went off for Mother's Day dinner with our elderly neighbors - went up to Hob Nob Hill in San Diego. Linda had an allergic reaction to something and we hurried home.
I decided that I'd better finalize the OASIS Class 1 presentation and get it on my flash drive and the laptop for backup purposes. I made some minor editing changes and saved everything to the flash drive and laptop, then charged the laptop. I finished up the color newsletter, saved it as a PDF and emailed it the webmaster for posting. I twittered and Facebooked a bit, then went in to watch Desperate Housewives, and when that was over I wrote this post.
Genealogy today was 7.0 hours - 0.5 hour doing email, 0.5 hour reading blogs, 0.5 hour on Twitter/Facebook, 1.0 hour writing blog posts, 1.0 hour on the OASIS class stuff, and 3.5 hours on the CVGS newsletter.
