Genealogy Journal - 02/26/09

Tami, Lolo and Audrey are still here - so I did not have a full day of genealogy, although Tami really tried to give me some free hours, which I appreciate. But I had a lot of fun with the girls today - they were really good and fun!

After Lolo and I had our breakfast (we share a banana and have frozen waffles with butter) and watched the Disney Channel shows for awhile, I came in to check my email and blogs after Tami got up. I had written Genea-Gazing Into the Crystal Ball last night, and it posted this morning. I'm surprised that it has only one comment (which is a great one!) - I figured it would set off many comments and some blog posts. Oh well. I went looking for comic strips with genealogy themes, noticed the Ancestry ads, so I posted They're everywhere! and then wrote about the FamilyHistoryOnline.net web site disappearing. I had lunch, the girls came home, I went to the bank, and when I came back they were napping, so I wrote Genealogy Search Engines: FamilySearch Record Search - Post 1: Basic Search, and set it to post later in the afternoon. When the girls woke up, Lolo played on the computer, I took a nap, and Tami left for her class tonight.

We took the girls to Rubio's for dinner with friends, and they both ate well (Lolo likes the fish taco and baked beans and chips, Audrey had the delicious Gerber's green beans in a plastic tin - the kid scarfed it!). We were home by 6 p.m. and I got the girls bathed, in their jammies, and in bed (Audrey by 7, Lolo by 8). Tami came home at 8:30 and marveled at our prowess! I was back on the computer at 8 p.m., and wondered what I could write for tomorrow, since we're going off to the Wild Animal Park in the morning. I finally settled on, well, you'll see tomorrow.

Genealogy today was 5.0 hours - 0.5 hour doing email, 0.5 hour reading blogs, 0.5 hour on Facebook, 0.5 hour looking at comics, and 3.0 hours writing blog posts.
