Genea-Journal - Tuesday, 11 December 2018

Two weeks until Christmas now.  I still need to do some shopping.

*  Online at 7:30 a.m. to read email and blogs, added to the Best Of post, and noted that Treasure Chest Tuesday -- 1934 Obituary of Paul F. Schaffner (1879-1934) in San Francisco, Calif. posted.  Wrote Name of the Year - 2018 Winner is ... and set it for later.

*  We left at 10:15 for the Sharp clinic for Linda's neuro appointment, and then to the store, and home by 11:45 a.m.

*  Had lunch, added to the Best Of post, and printed off the mail labels for the Christmas cards, and then finished up the Christmas letter.  got a bunch of photos into it.  Linda got started on the envelopes with labels, stamps and return labels.  I printed off 40 copies of the first page.

*  Wrote Genealogy News Bytes - 11 December 2018, then checked Twitter and Facebook.  Took a nap.  Online at 4:30 p.m. to read, then the printer stopped printing - no black ink.  Crap.  Tried to clean the printheads many times.  Changed the ink cartridge.  Nothing worked.

*  Went in at 5:15 to eat dinner, read the paper, watch TV news, and do the dishes.  Got the laundry finished too.

*  Online at 6:30 p.m. to read, tried to get the printer to print (it's old, an HP 6350).  It may be best to buy a new printer but I have several sets of color ink that I won't be able to use.  Crap.  Should I go buy a new one at Costco tomorrow?  Or should I go to the UPS Store and print out 180 color pages (probably about $90).  That would be easier!

*  Wrote the Wordless Wednesday post, then resolved almost 300 Ancestry Hints, adding content and sources to the database.

*  Added to the Best Of post, checked Facebook, and wrote this post.  Genealogy today was 8.0 hours.
