Genealogy Journal - 12/08/08

Another day gone, never to be recovered. The days until we leave on Christmas vacation are down to 12. I need to shop.

After reading email and blogs, I posted Christmas Advent Calendar - Days 17 to 11, checked Facebook, and then got dressed to go out, but I didn't go. I answered some email, called my friend Ed, and then posted Give Ancestry for Christmas. Then I had lunch and went out - to church, the library and the post office. At the library, I talked to Dearl and John a bit, helped Angie find some death records, indexed another 50 pages of the Early California book, and talked to Ann and Gary about the Estate Papers collections. I was home by 2:20.

After checking email, blogs and Facebook, I balanced the checkbooks and found we had been charged twice by the San Juan hotel. I posted Davy, Davy Crockett ... the Memories for the Smile carnival. Then it was read the paper, watch the news, take a nap, and eat dinner. After dinner, Linda had to do her church board minutes, so I watched the football game.

I came back to the computer at 8:30 and ordered Christmas gifts for my grandsons, and printed five pages from the Family Journal - 25 copies. I'm not done yet with two pages, but there is plenty to do immediately! Then I wrote this post and I'm done for the night.

Genealogy today was 6.0 hours - 0.5 hour doing email, 0.5 hour reading blogs, 2.0 hours writing blog posts, 0.5 hour on Facebook, 1.5 hours on CVGS activities, and 1.0 hour printing Journal pages.
