Genealogy Journal - 09/15/08

This was a pretty typical Monday in the Genea-Cave - some reading, some blogging, some research, some presentation preparation.

After reading email and blogs, I posted about the 5th Smile for the Camera Carnival and Kenyatta Berry's request for bloggers and writers. I answered some emails related to CVGS - programs and queries., and some from blog correspondents. Before lunch, I wrote about the Essential books in my genealogy library. After lunch, I went off to the CV library for the weekly Table Talk. I managed to index A-C in Volume 2 of the book I'm working on.

I was home by 2:15, and worked on the Computer Genealogy 101 presentation for Saturday. I made good progress, but I'm not done. I stopped at 5:15 to go watch TV, eat dinner, water the yard, watch the Padres game and read the paper.

I was back on the computer by 8:30, reading email and blogs, and did some research on Project M looking for wills and deeds, both historical and current. Not much luck with online resources! Then I wrote this post, and am done for the night.

Genealogy today was 9.0 hours - 0.5 hour doing email, 0.5 hour reading blogs, 1.5 hour writing blog posts, 2.5 hours on CVGS activities, 3.0 hours on the CGSSD presentation, and 1.0 hour on Project M research.
