Today was my father's 105th birthday. He's been gone 33 years now. The legacy of a fine New England ancestry is fantastic!
* Dropped Linda at the Y at 7:15, and home to do the wash, then off to Balboa Park for the SDGS/SDHC Genealogy Day at the History Center. Got there before 8 a.m., enjoyed Anne's keynote talk, then did two presentations of my Ten Best Free Genealogy Websites. Left at 12:50 and home by 1:15 p.m. Very tired and sleepy, ate a quick lunch, then napped in the recliner with the football game on.
* Online at 2:45 p.m. to note that Surname Saturday - LETTICE (England to colonial New England) and Saturday Night Genealogy Fun - What Were You Doing in 1995? posted. Checked email and blogs, and added to the Best Of post. Checked Facebook too.
* Went in at 5 p.m. to watch the baseball and football games, we ate dinner, and I read the paper and my book. Online at 7 p.m. for awhile but didn't accomplish anything of note. Back to the TV to watch the end of the NLCS - Cubs won 8-4.
* Online at 9 p.m. to read, check Ancestry Hints, and wrote this post. Genealogy today was 8.0 hours.
