This would have been my grandfather's 122nd birthday. Thank you, Lyle L. Carringer, for being who you were and the example you set for my mother and your grandsons.
* Read email, but not blogs, before going off to the Men's Bible Study breakfast at Marie Callender's. Home by 9:30 a.m. to note that Surname Saturday - FOLLANSBEE (England > colonial New England) posted.
* We left before 10 a.m. for the San Diego Safari Park up near Escondido with the grandgirls. Had a great time... stopped at In 'n' Out for dinner at 4:30 p.m., and home to watch the SDSU Aztecs game at 5:15 p.m.
* Noted that Saturday Night Genealogy Fun - Trick or Treat Edition posted. Read blogs during halftime of the game, won by SDSU over New Mexico 35-30. Got the kids read to, jammied up, and down by 8:30 p.m.
* Added to the Best Of post, checked Facebook, and added more Fact Notes and source Detail Text Notes to persons in my database - starting with my parents. Wrote this post.
Genealogy today was 2.5 hours.
