We returned from Victorville in the high desert at about 1 p.m. today. We had a great fun time with the grandgirls and their parents over three days, including a visit from Santa Claus at their house on Thursday evening. Not much genealogy done - although I did keep up my online reading of blogs and email on the laptop.
* After we got home, Linda checked her email and somehow the router got messed up. I went through the debugging process with Cox Cable on the telephone automated help line and got online by disabling the router. Then I found the CD and instructions, and the darn thing wouldn't even turn on. Need to check it further. That wasted almost two hours.
* Transferred the Flip videos to the computer, then backed them up to the external drive. Played all 46 of them... some are decent and may go up on Facebook.
* Went in to watch TV at 5:30 p.m. and had dinner, watched news, then came back and uploaded one video to Facebook. Wrote SNGF: The best genealogy gift was ... family videos and tried to embed a video in the post - no luck.
* Answered some email and did a little research to answer several correspondents. Wrote this post.
Genealogy today was 4.0 hours - 1.0 hour doing email, 0.5 hour reading blogs, 0.5 hour on Twitter/Facebook, 1.0 hour doing video work, and 1.0 hour writing blog posts.
