Genealogy Journal - 31 May 2009

May ends...it's been a busy month for this Geneaholic. I delivered my Ancestry.com 101 presentation to CGSSD on 16 May, and started my four-class adult education class on 11 May. We've had all of the grandchildren and daughters here during the month. The genea-cave has been filled a bit more with stuff pertaining to genealogy research. Oh well...

* Read my email, Twitter and blogs before church, and Blogger posted The Good Earth? Sometimes not good enough before we left.

* We got home from church at 12 noon, and I joined Scanfest in progress. Scanfest was OK, I wrote more than I scanned, although I got a few images done. Blogger posted Best of the Genea-Blogs - May 24-30, 2009 while we were at church (written last night).

* We left at 2 p.m. for the retirement roast and toast of our friend Sherry K, whose retirement made the front page of the San Diego Union-Tribune. Nice article. We were home by 6 p.m.

* Came back to the computer at 7 p.m., and read everything, then wrote a piece for Monday morning. Gathered OASIS class handouts, copied files to two flash drives. Checked on LiveRoots for awhile too. Answered some emails. Wrote this post.

Genealogy today was 5.0 hours - 0.5 hour doing email, 0.5 hour reading blogs, 0.5 hour on Twitter/Facebook, 2.0 hours on Scanfest, 1.0 hour writing blog posts, and 0.5 hours checking web sites.
