Genealogy Journal - 01/28/09

My genealogy football is still on the 27 yard line. I did not advance it at all today, which was devoted to blogging, eating and CVGS activities. With a little twittering and Facebooking thrown in.

After email, reading blogs and checking Facebook, I posted Family Photographs - Post 40: Lyle's Album. I went in and got cleaned up, and came back to post "Who Do You Think You Are?" is coming - are we ready for it? I read more stuff, tried to make FTM 2009 create a descendants chart again, and it bombed, so I wrote a note on the Using FTM Genforum message board asking for guidance. Russ W responded throughout the day. Linda came home, so we went to Subway for lunch and then to the CVGS meeting at noon in the Library.

We were home from the meeting at about 2:30 p.m. I read everything, then wrote "Ancestry.com Improves Locality Search" before going in to watch the news at 5 p.m. At 5:30, we left for dinner with our neighbors, Kurt and Ruth, who cannot drive right now due to frailty. We were home by 7:30, but I didn't get on the computer until after 8. I edited several blog posts, commented on several others, read and commented on Facebook notes, then posted Ken Kramer's "About San Diego" Program on the Chula Vista Genealogy Cafe blog. That's it for tonight!

Genealogy today was 8.0 hours - 0.5 hour doing email, 0.5 hour reading blogs, 0.5 hour on Twitter/Facebook, 2.5 hours writing blog posts, 2.5 hours on CVGS activities, and 1.5 hour working with FTM2009.
